Country cottage with pets allowed near Roanne

Nestled in a carefully renovated former farmhouse, La Colline aux Sauterelles welcomes you to an authentic setting where stone, wood, and lime plaster evoke the character of traditional Loire Valley buildings. This 70 m² single-story cottage is particularly well-suited for those seeking comfort and accessibility. The bright living area combines a welcoming lounge space around a wood-burning stove and a fully equipped kitchen, perfect for sharing wonderful moments with family and friends. The sleeping area comprises two bedrooms: one with a 140 cm double bed and a cot, and the other with two 90 cm single beds. A shower room and toilet complete the accommodation. Outside, a private enclosed 200 m² garden with a lawn, terrace, outdoor furniture, and a barbecue pleasantly extends the living space. Wi-Fi, baby equipment, bed linen, towels, and cleaning are included to ensure a relaxing stay. As soon as you step through the door, you'll be enveloped in the tranquility of the countryside. Here, birdsong accompanies your awakenings, while marked trails begin directly from the gîte, perfect for wonderful hikes or mountain bike rides. Neulise's prime location makes it easy to explore the landscapes of the Loire Gorges, the vineyards of the Côte Roannaise, and charming villages such as Ambierle, Saint-Haon-le-Vieux, and Saint-Jean-Saint-Maurice-sur-Loire. Lake Villerest invites you to enjoy outdoor activities, while the remarkable Château de la Roche offers a must-see visit along the river. Food lovers will also appreciate the local specialties and regional producers. A binder in the gîte lists all the outings you can take to discover our beautiful region, still far removed from the noise of big cities, and we are at your disposal.

Your host:
We love meeting people from all over the world and getting to know them over an aperitif. Depending on the season and the weather, we share vegetables from our garden with our guests
as well as our homemade jams and honey. We love walking and can give advice on all the beautiful hikes in the surrounding area.
