We used to come out here often and loved it because we could hand feed the deer and enjoy some peace and quiet. This was far from the case this time. There was a car parked in the parking spot in front of our room that never moved, everyone else just parked however they wanted leaving barely any room/ taking up 2 spaces because there is no markings. There was a couple of families staying that just let their children run around screaming until late into the night. There was barely any deer (or rest) because of the screaming children. The refrigerator only worked half of the time. The light in the living room only worked half of the time. Every time the people above us flushed or showered we could hear the drain so loud. I hate that we had such a rough time because we've always loved this place. There is also a bunch of picnic tables and stuff outside in the common area that hinder the deer coming in. Definitely going to try somewhere else for it next trip

5 star view with 3 star accommodations. Great view of the sunrise, foxes and deer around, quiet room. The place has great bones but there were a few supplies missing and bachelor pad furniture. No towel rack, missing forks, no cutting board, only one cup…limited kitchen supplies. They got us forks immediately in the morning which was good. a/c was great and for the price it was good for a quick getaway.

This resort was a big disappointment for us. It feels like a great property that is badly in need of maintenance and fixing up things. Good: Good structure and space, by the lake.Toilet bowls were clean. Not so good: plenty of foor vinyl planks are rising up. We stubbed our toes and lost balance and almost fell. Cobwebs inside the living room and on the deck. One of the dirtiest worn out dishes we have seen in a while. If you pull on the dishwasher door with just a little bit of force, it pulls all the way out from under the cabinets. Plank right under the sink is broken and held a single nail, so it swings out and drops when you open the cabinet door underneath. It actually hurt our toes when it fell. Shower faucets are so old and water just drops out vertically, and the knobs have infinite turn, don't know when it stops, I tried for a minute and it still kept turning. You really have to hug the wall right under the shower to get any water on you. I think the experience with the amenities in the cabin doesn't match the reviews you see on websites.

It was interesting!

Do you love stray cats? There are about a dozen stray cats that occupy this property. They will come onto the patio and beg. They seem to be nice enough but they do not want to be petted or to stay around people. They just want your food. If you are looking for a luxury stay, this is not it. If you are looking for a step over from an Econolodge this will work for you. We were traveling across the US. We just needed cheap accommodations that would fit our family. This worked for us because we did not have high expectations… you get what you pay for. Do you want towels in your bathroom? Do you want a TV to watch in bed? Do you want a level floor? Do you want bowls in the kitchen? Do you want a hair drier? Do you want clean surfaces, void of cobwebs? Do you want an adjustable air-conditioner? Do you want a key to your front door? You wont get any of those things on this property.
