Great property with wonderful access to the Guadalupe River. Perfect place for large groups. The house does need some maintenance but would stay here again.

Unclean home - I wouldn’t recommend staying

The location of the property is in a convenient, being close to town but the property and home is very unkept and dirty. The pictures on the listing is nothing like the home itself. Most of the doors do not open more than halfway, the beds are very uncomfortable and the house itself appeared to not have been cleaned. The river access is okay if you plan on sitting on the patio but not if you have children who want to play in the water.

Awesome property!

Amazing location right on the river! Really enjoyed that we could just walk out the house and right down to the river to hang out. Also loved that the kids could tube down the river and exit right in the backyard. House was very clean and looked recently updated. Was very surprised by how well stocked the house was. I have gotten used to taking all of my own cooking utensils and pots/pans when staying at rental properties because it can be really hit or miss with what the house has, but this house had EVERYTHING! Overall everyone in our group loved this house and we are already anticipating our stay here next year!

Beautiful Property

We enjoyed our stay. This property is really beautiful and the house is nice. We stayed at the end of the season. There were a few things that needed to be fixed in the restroom that I chalk up to our timing. The house is really nice and the area is good and not too busy. The communication with the owner was fabulous and timely. I recommend a stay here and I appreciate the openness of the owner to add an extra day at the last minute.

Perfect Location!

The house was in a fantastic location and had everything we needed! After season, I would recommend a deep clean of the exterior, outdoor furniture, carpets, etc.

Backyard is the best part

House is okay, there was roaches and the first floor room was freezing cold while the rest of house was warm. The backyard (river) was the best part. You have to share the backyard concrete patio with the neighbors, which they do not mention until your reserve. Hallway in home is narrow and is not suitable for bigger people. We would not rent this house again.

Summer Family vacation

This rental house was perfect for our family summer vacation! It was so wonderful and we had room for all the adults and the grandkids! It was right on the river and we all enjoyed it!!

We very much enjoyed our visit!

I'll start by saying our vacation here was great! I didn't receive my check in instructions right away but NBE worked with me to resolve quickly. There was one issue with two TVs requiring a PIN that we nor NBE could figure out, and they issued a partial refund without me asking nor expecting. There is plenty of room, the beds are comfortable but mattresses on a couple of the beds "dip" in the center and likely should be replaced soon. We slept really well regardless! The property was clean, instructions were comprehensive and easy to follow. The garage door control is INSIDE the house when entering from the garage and I never thought to look there so it took a hot minute to find it. It can also be opened and closed from a keypad outside the garage. We've stayed in rentals that were better appointed than River Haus, but also some that were worse. This rental is a great riverfront location for getting into and out of the water. It sits right at a high traffic area, right next to the bridge where there is a lot of traffic, across the street from a tube rental and next to a tube launch, so if we had stayed during high season, we likely would have not had as good a time. There were plenty of towels, dish soap, dishwasher soap, kitchen rags and towels, and pot holders. I do have some suggestions that may improve the stay for future guests. There were only 5 dinner forks, but a ton of spoons, butter knives and desert size forks, and only 1 spatula for cooking (not counting 2 decorative - flower shaped - ones that weren't very functional). There were also only 5 steak knives (we tend to cook a lot when we rent) and I always think it's good to have a really good kitchen knife, which there was one. Although we realize it's not required, most rentals we've stayed in have had at least some spices, salt and pepper, etc, that were either provided by the host or left behind by previous renters. I had planned to buy food at the market but it didn't occur to me there wouldn't be even salt and pepper, so we had to go out the next day to the market again. We left the salt and pepper there for future guests :-) We give this property high marks overall, especially to the management company who were very responsive to any message or email I sent. We had a great time and the few things we thought could have been better were not critical things. We had a very relaxing stay, visited Canyon Lake dam and area, and it was a great rental experience.

Lots of fun!!

We came to have a little getaway and play in the river!!! It was perfect for just that!!! The kids loved the river and at night loved the foosball /pool table. Would stay here again in a heart beat!!!

Parking is not great and the hill in the back yard down to the party pad and water was a lot 😂

Over all experience was great and we had a blast!! The house was fully stocked with everything we needed for cooking!! Definitely recommend 👍🏻

Great River Access

Nice that it was convenient to grocery store and other small town amenities. Patio by river was a great location but the seating was very tired and area was not clean or fresh feeling at all. Charcoal grill was not usable and gas grill was met with an empty tank. A partial or full tank would have been a nice touch. Inside of home was very well appointed for an upgraded older home. Very comfortable for a large group.

Gorgeous property!

We couldn’t have been more pleased with our stay. The home was clean, spacious, and well maintained. Well stocked with dishes and kitchen supplies. Plenty of towels, pillows, extra blankets etc. The view off of the enclosed sun deck at the back of the house is gorgeous, and the screened porch attached to the master was a lovely place to sneak out and enjoy the early mornings before everyone else was up! The home has a small fenced in front yard that was perfect for letting the dog out. The backyard is huge and slopes down to a shallow river bank. Great for younger kids to swim, or to relax in chairs in the river. The location of the home was really convenient. Close to New Braunfels, but a slightly slower paced area. River road next to the house is fairly busy but you don’t hear it much inside the house. There is a tube rental place across the street which is convenient if you want to rent tubes or just take their shuttle and float right back near your house! Charcoal and gas grills and both are well maintained. We never got around to having a fire, but there are two fire pits down by the water. The leasing company was very responsive and friendly. We had 8 people, ages 65,42,33,15,15,12,4, & 1 as well as a dog and everyone had a great experience!
