It's basically a local 'paid' shelter. No smoking signs in lobby, but furniture had numerous burn stains and ashes. Heavily stained carpet. Dingy looking linen, but did smell freshly laundered. No security, i.e. chain on room door, which looked like it has previously been busted in. Simple door lock that like you'd find on a bathrook door. Exterior room door looked like it has been previously busted in. Although there are young mothers with children who evidently live there, it's not a place for the "faint hearted" who also might feel threatened by young men idling near-by. LOL
BTW, it took mgr several hours to find a tv remote after searching other rooms, despite no vacancy other than one near lobby awaiting a guest who was paying $150 for the night. (So I was told. Didn't know if that was real or an attempted hustle for me to pay for an upgrade.)LMAO Anyway, I slept soundly with the only chair hooked up under the door knob.
