Enjoyable stay, some improvements needed

We love Amish country and this was a great location. Check-in was smooth and communication was very good. There were many flies in the house when we first got in, which was initially off-putting and took a while to get rid of. That should have been taken care of before the next guests arrive. Couches were also worn down and the tv on the wall was at an uncomfortable viewing angle for the seating positions. Carpet on the stairs was also very worn. We would have liked to bring our dog, so we thought conditions should have been nicer to have a no-dog policy. Our kids enjoyed the pool and the cottage very much. Once the flies were taken care of I also really enjoyed our stay. Overall, I just think the price needs to come down or some updates made and I would be happy to stay again.

Birthday weekend

It was a beautiful place to stay. The only thing was that we were under the impression there was a hot tub. Apparently we misunderstood the listing. Slightly disappointed. Everything else was amazing and everyone was her helpful.
