New Providence Hotel with Pool

"Disappointed with this property and will not return. Our room was right next to a very busy/noisy highway. We constantly had loud footsteps/noise from the floor above us. Definitely not a well insulated building. Furnishings in the room were clean but definitely not updated and the room was dark. We had requested late checkout on our reservation due to an event we were attending and had also put that we had a dog. Upon checkin we were told that we could not have the later checkout we wanted due to no housekeeping. When getting our luggage and walking to the elevator with our dog we were yelled at asking if our dog was a service dog. We replied that he was not and were then told that we did not pay the fee to have a dog and we then had to sign a paper for them to take the fee. Had we known our reservation did not include the fee already (even though we had put that in our reservation) we would’ve stayed somewhere else as this raised the price more than we were wanting to pay but we had no choice at that point. The breakfast was horrible. There were no fruit options at all and very minimal other options, even though some of the descriptions/reviews said “superb”. We would definitely not recommend this hotel to anyone traveling in the Lancaster area. Very disappointed!"

"Room was very clean, bottled water replenished daily. Very roomy and comfortable. Breakfast staff ere not friendly, never smiled. Coffee was good and available 24/7. Front desk staff VERY pleasant. "

"Ofcourse it’s great for children who love trains. We had a two bed caboose option and wished we gone with bunk beds so had more floor space for them to play around inside. Being right beside the train tracks, buggy rides and petting farm, the restaurant and shop is just perfect. If you have little ones the shop in the restaurant has some great books available too."

"Everything was good. Standard hotel. Make sure you book in advance as they were sold out for the entire Weekend that we stayed, so walking in might be a problem. "

"There were some major pluses and minuses of this property. One the price point was great, there is parking basically for free attached to the hotel, and they take dogs. Its also really close to the center of downtown Lancaster and had comfortable beds. On the downside, they charge $50 for dogs, the rooms were tired, and the key cards never work. So weigh your decision."
