Desert dream

This house is a great getaway for 4x4 or dirt biking. Trails are right outside the door and the house is stocked and offers every convenience you might need. Bring the family or a great guys getaway.

An oasis in the Mojave

Beautiful home, well maintained in the middle of the desert. There's space to play outside or stay inside where it is cool. Host offers a hot tub (couldn't quite do that in the heat, but it was there) for relaxing after a busy day in the desert. One of the dirt roads was flooded so we had to take a roundabout to reach the property, but the manager sent a pin that allowed us to get where we needed to be. A freak storm took out a power line and they were super awesome helping us get inside. Overall a great experience! Definitely recommend.

Relaxing Desert Retreat

This is our third time staying at this house. The location is perfect for our off road wanderings. We especially enjoy the peace and quiet. We will be back again.

What a Blast!

Our multigenerational family stayed here and loved every single thing about it! The beautiful fire pit and the stars were our faves! Totally recommend this lovely getaway home!!

Great Home/Work

From what my employees said, the place is amazing. My boss was impressed by all the things to do. Might make it a company retreat for some Forman's of ours come xmas time. thanks so much for the accommodations of adding another night as well.

It's homey, clean, well stocked!

Very easy spot to meet up with local family. THE most well stocked vrbo I have ever seen. Clean, comfortable and easy to get around surrounding communities. Desert get away? Stay here! You will love it.

Great time

Perfect place to get away and have some fun. You're around farm land so be prepared to get a whiff of "different" smells but honestly you'll forget all about it within a few minutes. Jon, Kathy & Bill will make sure you're well taken care of.

The Ideal Place

The idea place is remote, clean, unique, safe and away from the crowds, surrounded by creation and quiet! A modern, comfortable house, right out in the middle of the desert. We could not have asked for more. The house is huge inside, modern as can be and great for families. The outside property is even better, especially at night. While nestled between two major artieries (the i40 and i15 freeways) you will not hear a sound, except for an occasional freight train if you listen. There is so much property here, you can walk for miles and still be alone. We'll definitely come back to this place again! The Owners are fantastic and they really went all-out to make sure visitors have a great time and felt at-home. Thank you so much for sharing this place with others.

Total relaxation in beautiful and peaceful surroundings!!

Our group of ten friends felt totally at home here. The accommodations were super clean and the amenities well stocked. The location was very convenient to both the interstates yet it was totally quiet, just the sounds of the desert wind and a few birds. We were rock climbing everyday and really enjoyed our soaks in the hot tub each evening. Also, appreciated the large TV with Netflix so we could enjoy a movie together. The kitchen was more than we could have hoped for! Well stocked with cookware ant cutlery but also spices, etc. It seems that every need was anticipated and well attended to! If ever in the area again we will certainly be staying here. Thank you to all

Desert off road fun

This house was a great location for or jeep getaway with friends. We had so much fun exploring the Mojave trail, Calico Mountains, Black Mountain wilderness. Museums in Barstow. The house was very comfortable, with everything we needed for a great stay. We spent many hours sitting outside at the fire pit, or just soaking up the sun. Great view of the mountains to the south. We explored Johnson valley where king of the hammers is located is staged. Also we were lucky enough to see the desert bloom this year as well. The owner was super friendly and helpful Cant wait to come back

Everything you need!

Except the wifi is a little slow, haha. It works fine, though, and you can't expect much since it's in the middle of the desert. Everything else is awesome! I especially liked having a shooting range on the property!

Away from it all

I had a group of techs for our company staying there and it was clean and well kept, we had bigger trucks and they did get stuck a couple of times but nothing major. It is very dark at night and so they did have trouble finding the place but once they did, they were happy. They had a barbecue, and were able to relax while off work. They were working in Barstow and it was only a 20-25 minute drive so it was perfect. The home owner had some things in a fridge and he was nice enough to let them have it, will definitely be back should we have work in the area again. The owner is super responsive and is very helpful with all questions.
