Nestled in a magical clearing within 10 acres of private ancient woodland near the historic market town of Newbury, Bluebelle Pod offers a truly unique and peaceful glamping experience. Ideally located halfway between London and Bath, it's the perfect escape for couples or small families looking to unwind, explore, and reconnect with nature.

Sleeping two adults in a cozy double bed and up to two children (aged 12 and under) on fold-out Z-beds, the pod is thoughtfully designed for comfort. Inside you'll find electricity, heating, a mini fridge-freezer, a kettle, toaster, and all your essential crockery, cutlery, utensils, wine glasses, and even plastic dining items for little ones. Tea, coffee, sugar, and milk are provided, and all water on site is safe for drinking.
Just next door is your own private bathroom with a piping hot shower, flushing toilet, and sink, while outside there's a decked seating area perfect for lazy mornings or starlit evenings. The undercover cooking area includes a gas stove and charcoal BBQ, and there's a well-equipped washing-up area too.
The communal undercover seating area and large brick-built firepit with log seating sit right beside the pods and form the cosy heart of the clearing – perfect for sharing stories or toasting marshmallows as the sun goes down.
Children will love the freedom to explore the woodland, build dens, swing on the tire swing, and spot wildlife. Guests have full access to the entire woodland area, where ducks, chickens, geese, peacocks, dogs, and even a few feral cats roam freely. Wild deer, foxes, and bats are often seen too, adding to the magic of this secluded spot.
The local village of Woolton Hill is within walking distance and has a shop, post office, three friendly pubs, and a monthly village market. Nearby attractions include Highclere Castle (famously known as Downton Abbey), 4 Kingdoms Adventure Farm Park, Newbury Racecourse, The Chase nature reserve, canal boat trips, museums, and endless countryside walks and cycle trails.
Please note: if the pod is at full human occupancy, we're unable to accommodate dogs due to limited space, but they're more than welcome when guest numbers are lower. Guests should bring their own wood, charcoal, and tea lights. A smoke alarm, fire blanket, fire extinguisher, and first aid kit are all provided for safety.
