Heaven on a Hiil

The sweeping views of the Derwent Valley complete with a few rare Red Kites sighted on high was a highlight. Our host Deborah was charming, knowledgeable and so helpful. Truly a holiday to remember with the lovely Forest walks throughout the valley and the cozy comfortable Gardener’s Cottage to relax in!

Lovely quiet location, great for dogs and walkers

Lovely quiet location with excellent walking from the door in the Derwent river valley. Very welcoming and helpful host. Dog friendly with lovely garden.

Lovely property

We had a lovely stay despite my husband being unwell.Deborah was wonderful when the TV stopped working. Normally this would not be a problem when on holidays but as my husband was sick we were using the TV more than usual. She went out of her way to make us comfortable.It’s a lovely cottage in a lovely part of the world. Would definitely recommend staying here.The cottage is lovely
