  • Whether you are in town for a wedding at Providence Cotton Mill or Catawba Farms; you've come to NC to find the perfect sofa at the famed Hickory Furniture Mart; or you are attending an event at Lenoir-Rhyne University or the Hickory Metro Convention Center; whatever brings you to the beautiful Catawba Valley, you will love settling into our Victory House to relax and unwind. Arrive home to enjoy dinner on the back deck or log into your Netflix account to stream your favorite show before bed. Slip off your shoes, whip up a quick dinner in the cozy kitchen (or order from our favorite Japanese restaurant close by!), and settle into the comfy couch after a satisfying day in small-town America. Wake up rested and refreshed and enjoy the well-stocked coffee bar as you prepare breakfast in the fully-equipped kitchen or head out to one of the local cafes. The cottage was just like it was described. It was super clean and the decor was lovely making it feel a welcome stay. The host was easily accessible and helpful with her responses and overall it was a convenient spot to explore the area and will certainly be on my list to book when we return again - thank you.

We had a great stay. Drove in late and check in was wonderfully easy in the middle of the night. There was a sweet surprise of muffins available for the morning, which we thoroughly enjoyed. The home was cozy and well equipped, and very convenient to downtown Newton. Would absolutely stay again!

Cofy cottage was our favorite one in Newton, next door to Hickory! Decorated farm style, hardwood floors, Pet friendly! Clean house, no surprises! Quiet neighborhood, next to a church, and has big backyard! Location is great, 5 miles will get you to malls and restaurants! If you like BBQ eat at Nick & Jim’s, Jason’s Deli, Longhorn and The Hatch, downtown hickory! Will stay again if in this area again! Angela the host was excellent!

This is a wonderful, clean cozy cottage, and the backyard is cute too! I had a quick question for the host and she called me back within 5 minutes. Cupcakes, coffee and water were a great plus. There was a paper on the refrigerator that gave info about best places to eat, visit and explore. Very helpful. If we are back in this area would definitely stay here again.

This adorable cottage was immaculate and even better than the pictures showed. A handrail has been added at the front steps, which was a great addition, and there is a comfort height toilet in the main bathroom and a step-in shower, which were wonderful for anyone with bad knees!! There were lots of special touches, too...a personalized welcome sign, a handwritten welcome note and delicious muffins when we arrived. The amenities were also very abundant - well stocked kitchen, a water pitcher with filtered water in the refrigerator, lots of towels, liquid hand soap, and makeup mirrors - just to name a few! The backyard was beautiful with a fire pit and comfy Adirondack chairs. The host was very quick to respond, too! We loved it and had a great stay!
