The cottage opens directly to the tidal beach in a nature reserve where you can look out for the colony of Oystercatchers and the many estuary birds. Close by is Carsluith Castle with smokehouse bistro, and Creetown smokehouse and fresh local fish shop with cafe. The nearby market town of Newton Stewart offers many excellent shops, a cinema and places to eat. Near to the Galloway Forest and Dark Skies Park, the cottage is ideally placed to explore the beauty of south west Scotland.
