Lovely stay

Rooms are comfy and new. Love the simple decor. Would have been even more perfect if there can be a small radiator for the cold evenings and a wider choice of food menu in the restaurant. Staff is very helpful.

Fine for a one night stay. Very basic but that was expected. Cold at nights and very hot during the day without any air conditioning or heating. Great location for Bromo hike. Very good restaurant.

A disaster

The good part - location is excellent. Rooms are clean and the staff is very polite. Now the problems 1. They never pick up the phone. While they are responsive on WhatsApp, good luck if you need an immediate call 2. Food is good but wine list - not a single one except port wine was in stock. You could get whisky though but have to buy an entire bottle. Basically they are clueless 3. They arranged a sunrise tour for us but despite saying we want to be at the top and showing the driver a Pic of what we wanted to see, he was lazy and dropped us to the other ( wrong) view point. We had to hike up a muddy trail on the dark for an hour to get to the right viewpoint only to find at least a 100 ppl who had been dropped right at the top. So do NOT book through them. 4. Lack of basic courtesy and privacy - due to construction workers came to our room patio to work middle of the day. 5. SAFETY !! The kids swing set had a broken heavy swing kept loosely on top of the structure that fell on our child’s head and had to be rushed to a hospital with blood everywhere. Thankfully it was as a side gash with no concussion. While the staff was very helpful in arranging a car to the hospital and the driver stayed all through to help with the translation, while unintentional, such callous safety awareness makes them deserve zero stars. I’m being generous and giving them two stars

The cabin is small and poorly insulated. It was very cold in the night and early morning. The breakfast spread is limited and food quality below average. Service was slow and we had to repeat our request several times. Overall, the hotel standard is below our expectation considering the room rate is about USD180/night.

Tough place to review, you’re 1.5 miles up on an active volcano so you’re there to see the volcano. 🌋 Here is what you need to know: The cabins are NOT heated and it gets cold at night. The hot water is 30 liters and it takes an hour to reload. To see the sunrise you leave at 2:30am in an unheated jeep, there is jeep traffic hellbut you make it up by 5am you’re on the equator so it does not change much. Mt Bruno at dawn is cool and sunrise wasn’t bad either, very dark skies amazing stars and shooting stars. Food was ok but breakfast didn’t have bacon or ham some strange sausage, eggs were good though, lots of Indonesian food. Glad I did it to be honest, lots of walking though.

La struttura si trova all'interno del parco del Bromo e per raggiungerla si deve necessariamente pagare la tassa di ingresso (questo aspetto non era stato menzionato dall'Hotel). La camera era sporca (lenzuola con macchie e muri sporchi) e senza riscaldamento nonostante la notte la temperatura si abbassi notevolmente (ho richiesto una stufetta che mi è stata fornita). Unica nota positiva il panorama e la colazione.

The staff was very nice but the dinner wasn’t so great. On the other hand, very good breakfast. I would suggest to have extra blanket in the room. It gets cold at night. Also, the hot water should be regulated. It’s way too warm if you don’t pay atttention. It could harm a child when showering.

Super schön gelegen. Unser Zimmer war jedoch etwas abgewohnt. Personal im Restaurantbereich fanden wir beim Frühstück und Abendessen im Vergleich zu allen anderen Hotels in unseren letzten Tagen auf Java eher unaufmerksam. Der Weg zu den Hütten ist mit Koffer teilweise beschwerlich. Hier wurde uns bei der Abreise nicht geholfen. Preis/Leistung fanden wir nur durchschnittlich.

Het is een prachtige locatie en ze brengen nog steeds verbeteringen aan zoals een overkapping van het terras. De nachten zijn erg koud en er lag al een extra deken maar dat is in het midden van de nacht iet genoeg om echt warm te blijven. De locatie is magisch en het uitzicht op de bromo is maar enkele minuten lopen. De service is goed.
