North End hotels in South Padre Island

"Hotel was nice and clean, though you can tell it’s starting to age. Pillows were way too soft! Breakfast buffet was ok. Would have loved to have bacon and grits as an option. And also some cut up fruit. There was an option of a whole orange and banana though. Their “Quiet Hours” are from 9pm-8am. Pool and jacuzzi doesn’t open until 9am, which to me, is late when on vacation! If Quiet hours is until 8am, why not open the pool and jacuzzi up at 8am?! Though 9pm is too early to close also. I think 11pm would have been perfect, but 10pm would have been fair! Our room had a partial beach view. It was facing the ocean but the bar downstairs was blocking some of the view. I was a little upset that they wouldn’t extend my reservation an extra hour since we lost an hour because of the time change. Paid 400+ a night for two nights, a week before Spring Break officially started. Check in wasn’t until 4pm and check out was at 11am. "

"Clean and basic. They don't have full generator backup, so problem with power in the middle of the night leftUs in the dark, with no CPAP, and several hours before someone came into work that could flip t the breaker switches. "

"We've stayed at this property before and really enjoyed it. But we got off to a rough start as there was a miscommunication between the owner and her cleaning staff. We got a text telling us that the condo would be available at 1:30 but when we arrived at 4pm it had not been cleaned. A text to Karen put things in motion immediately and her staff had it cleaned in a few hours. It was a Sunday and they drove from Brownsville.Karen very graciously discounted our charge by one night. We had our dog with us and were able to find a restaurant nearby where she could sit on the deck with us. We will definitely stay there again."

"We weren’t there enough to really judge, the staff was friendly and the room was clean and quiet. They are not right on the beach but they do have a short walkway to the beach. "
