「The house and grounds are beautiful, especially if you appreciate old historic houses. Issues did arise ut Chelsi responded very quickly. The kitchen is modern w room for lots of cooks. We made use of most of the amenities -pool, sauna, theater room. Location is great- near beach and rail trail, and short distance to rye, Portsmouth, kittery . It worked perfectly for our college roommate reunion.」

「Amazing location for beach and boardwalk access. Lots of room for 8 people (4 adults and 4 kids). Could use a few more plates and a roll of paper towels. Beds are a little hard but things were nice and clean. We will definitely be returning. 」

「Clean spacious room with full kitchen and 30 second walk to the beach. Friendly and courteous staff and easy free parking. Conveniently located near restaurants, shops, outdoor concerts, movie night on the beach. Located on a quiet side street so the best of both worlds. We slept with the windows wide open and it was quiet. Definitely returning with my family and recommending it. 」

「This was our first stay at The Pioneer on York Beach, and it was perfect for our family. There was plenty of room for the adults and our 7 grandchildren, and everyone had a great time. Much of our time was spent on the beach each day, which was just a short walk from the house. 「Host was very helpful, a nice relatively quiet spot just far enough away from the hustle and bustle of Ocean Blvd, friendly neighborhood. Very clean, with a nice view of the sunset. 」

「It was a good location and the inside was very nice. The only thing, although small, is every unit had a screen in the window except ours which I would have loved to open the window. Also, the shampoo, conditioner & body wash was not labeled so I had no idea which was which. Overall it was a great place to stay and we had a great time.」
