Wallaby 2 Bed, 1 Bath Cottage - Private Parkland Setting with Lake View
Wallaby Cottage is a purpose built, 2-bedroom 1-bathroom house, nestled among the rain forest trees on a 5-acre property overlooking a small lake. Relax and unwind on the large deck and soak up the sounds of nature in this peaceful and tranquil bush setting. The property is close to town, the golf course and Baroon Pocket Dam. Enjoy a delicious breakfast featuring locally sourced products before exploring the surrounding area. Let us be your home away from home!
The two-bedroom, one bathroom house provides a modern, clean and quiet living space in a garden setting. The gate from your parking opens onto a decked courtyard leading to your front door that opens into the open plan kitchen-dining-lounge area.
The built-in fireplace is central to the living area and the back wall is made up of a full width window and sliding door that opens up on to the large deck offering panoramic views of the lake and surrounding valley and trees.
Both bedrooms have their own door to the en-suite bathroom with large walk-in shower.
Enough wood for the cold winter nights is provided for the fireplace and there is also a reverse-cycle air-conditioner and ceiling fan in the living room.
* We provide a delicious breakfast basket filled with local and home-made produce. From freshly baked bread, croissants and pastries to eggs from our chickens and fresh local seasonal fruit to milk and yoghurt from Maleny's award-winning dairy and cheese factory.
* Our property is semi-rural and is not on town water or sewerage. Our water comes from rainwater tanks, and we have a wastewater treatment plant. The house has its own tank, and the water is perfectly safe to drink.
* Pets are allowed and we charge a pet fee. As we are semi-rural and part of a wildlife corridor, the greater property is not fenced, and all dogs are to remain on lead at all times when on the grounds. Wallaby's back deck is enclosed as is the inner courtyard.
* There are pasture-fed free range chickens on the property.

Nestled in a peaceful area and surrounded by wildlife, our stay has been the ultimate disconnect to reconnect. Linda and Anthony have appointed the unit very tastefully and have taken great care of us and our two cats. The breakfast basket was a real treat full of local goodness.Walks and bike rides nearby are both plenty and breathtaking. It’s been amazing to see the sun set over rolling hills and watch black cockatoos and fruit bats soar in huge groups. The vistas will fill anyone with joy and awe. Couldn’t recommend more.
