Two Dogs Inn A Pet Friendly Hidden Gem

Pet Friendly! In fond memory of our two Great Pyrenees we are now open to accepting a maximum of two pets. *please indicate if you are travelling with your pet, as there is a $50.00 additional pet fee. Fully fenced and gated 1 acre property for your travelling companions to enjoy. Enjoy a beautiful 4kms forest hike within walking distance. Your self contained fully furnished semi ground level one bedroom suite is waiting for you. This is country living yet close to amenities. Plenty of parking, we can even accommodate your big rig, 5th wheel or travel trailer. Our property is located aproximately 12 kms from the town of Ladysmith, and 6 kms to Highway 1 access for north and southbound travel. There is a lovely small beach with beautiful views (Elliot Beach) only 3 kms away. Perfect for kayaking or just relaxing.

We enjoyed a precious slice of paradise at Two Dogs Inn. Our pups were delighted with the amenities too and spent time enjoying the large fenced yard and lovely lumpy dog bed that they preferred over their own beds from home. Our hosts, Val & Paul are lovely kind people who made us feel very welcome there. We appreciated the farm fresh eggs, yummy Canadian made bread, watermelon and a variety of dog treats that they left for us. We hope we can return next year.

Relaxing in paradise

This is a hidden gem on Vancouver Island. Located outside of Ladysmith, it allowed us to unplug and truly enjoy our time away. The suite is comfortable, clean, and quiet. The outside area provided to us was amazing. We were able to sit outside, listen to the birds, and relax in the sunshine amongst the tree and flowers. The hosts are super friendly and very knowledgeable about the area, suggesting interesting locations and activities based on our interests. We would absolutely return for another stay.

Relaxing Island Retreat

Our little mid-week getaway was ABSOLUTELY PERFECT! The hosts, Val and Paul, welcomed us warmly upon arrival. We had our little dog with us and we were all well received. The suite was wonderful…spacious, very clean, with a VERY comfortable bed, and the grounds were spectacular. The hosts provided lots of extras…treats and snacks, a well-stocked fridge and all the comforts of home. Even a private sauna! They gave us EXCELLENT recommendations of places to go that were pet friendly. The hosts were wonderful; we left feeling like we had made some wonderful new friends. We cannot wait to return again. We cannot recommend this place highly enough, but we want to keep it as a best kept secret so it will be available when we want to come again.

Pet friendly gorgeous retreat

Beautiful back yard in a quiet setting that is very pet friendly. Val and Paul were very gracious and knowledgeable hosts willing to provide anything you need.Val provides many little amenities including breakfast items. We had a very nice little anniversary getaway to see the sites where some of our favorite TV shows and had a 5 course meal for our anniversary.

What a splendid little oasis!

My sister and I spent a few days over Spring break on the island, and were looking for a place that was both relaxing and accessible to the Gulf Islands. The Two Dogs Inn surpassed our expectations. It truly is a hidden gem

A beautiful property with such lovely hosts. Val and Paul were welcoming and friendly from the moment we arrived. The stay far exceeded my expectations. It was ideally located for my needs and the fenced yard was perfect for my dog. Fozzie made himself at home and didn't take long to learn where to get the best scritches. My only regret was that I couldn't stay longer.

Island Home

This place feels like home. Our hosts, Val and Paul were there to greet us and walked us through the property. Everything is very neat and clean, bed and linens are great and kitchen has all the necessities. We really appreciated the breakfast food that was provided. There are walking trails and beaches close by. The property has gardens and fruit trees and relaxing sitting areas. Paul and Val are amazing hosts and it was lovely to share our stories. Loved this place.

Lovely Garden Suite!

Vancouver Islands best kept secret with the perfect hosts to match, property is absolutely beautiful, the unit is very generous, a perfect getaway, sleeping quarters black right out and you can be comfortable if you like to sleep warm or cold, Val and Paul were so welcoming and were quick to start the relaxing vacation, and answer any question thrown their way! A Truly Exceptional Stay at The Two Dogs Inn

Our 38-day stay at The Two Dogs Inn was amazing. Val and Paul provided unparalleled hospitality, making us feel incredibly welcomed and at home. This was our best VRBO experience yet. We brought along our 12+ year-old Yellow Lab, Roxy. Val and Paul were fantastic with her, and Roxy was always thrilled to spend time with them. We were pleasantly surprised to find supplies (eggs, milk, breakfast cereals, treats for Roxy, and more) waiting for us – a thoughtful touch we hadn’t encountered at other VRBO properties. The accommodation had everything we needed. It was impeccably clean, the bed was comfortable, and the warm shower had excellent water pressure. The Wi-Fi was reliable, and the kitchen well-equipped. The fenced grounds were stunning and a great place to relax. At one point, we mentioned that the TV was on the small side for reading show descriptions. The very next day, Val and Paul replaced it with a brand new 55” HD model. Their attentiveness and responsiveness were truly outstanding. The location, on the other side of the bay from Highway 1, is rural and peaceful. We spent many hours on the deck, reading, sipping wine, and trying to capture the perfect photo of the many hummingbirds. Val and Paul’s local insights allowed us to explore the area to the fullest. We particularly enjoyed visiting nearby beaches, perfect for leisurely walks with Roxy. We look forward to our next visit to the island – The Two Dogs Inn is undoubtedly our first choice for accommodation.

We loved staying at the Two Dogs Inn! Very clean, cozy suite with all our necessities provided, hosts went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable! Beautiful + peaceful area, lots to do close by in Ladysmith (stores, coffee, etc.). Hosts were very welcoming and helpful with any extra things we needed, and any questions we had about travelling! We enjoyed our stay, and hope to return!
