“We travelled in the off season (early March) and really enjoyed our stay. Our room had a garden view and it was perfect. We strolled through every pathway in the property and for a flower/garden/rose lover it would be absolutely amazing in the summer when everything is in bloom. Our check-in greeting and encounters with staff were always polite and cheerful and breakfast was perfect every morning. We would happily stay here again.”

Nathan was the perfect host: kind, thoughtful, and always there when we needed anything (even emergency coffee and a bottle opener!). His hiking tips were spot on — PR9 was stunning — and it was so nice to come back to a super comfy bed, a powerful shower, and even a surprise room upgrade. “Our stay was very good, the apartment has nice kitchenette, toster, sandwich maker, oven, microwave and a filter coffee machine, all equipment is good quality. Bedroom is nice size and bed is big and very comfortable. We really enjoyed the balcony. Big positive is that there is a washing machine. ”

“You won’t regret staying here! One of the best beds I’ve slept while traveling. Full kitchen. Access to washer and dryer. It felt great to get out of Funchal and be somewhere more ‘relaxing.’ With that said, you still have access to restaurants / market, etc. Additionally, there is so much to do in the area. Highly recommend this place.”
