Lovely cottage and hosts!

A lovely cottage that is beautifully appointed in a wonderfully peaceful location. Paul and Stella are friendly, helpful, but not intrusive. We were blessed with marvellous weather and had a very relaxing break!

A great week at The Walnut

A lovely week in this gorgeous dog friendly home. Beautifully designed and spacious, friendly hosts, great paddock for the dog to run around in, in between trips to the beach and the woods. Location of fab, great access to all of the north Norfolk beaches, cafes and towns with great facilities. Addition of the hot tub was a real treat! Will stay again, either at the Walnut or Peanut or Bumblebee who are in the same location.

Fabulous 2nd stay

Dogs and I loved it so much the first time, we decided to return with the husband, My collie obviously remembered it as he went straight to the basket where the dog toys are kept and demand barked for it to be opened! Fabulous beach walk in the morning, walk to a dog friendly pub for lunch followed by afternoon in hot tub over looking the fields.

The Walnut

This is an Amazing dog friendly property. Decorated to a high standard and very comfortable. Lovely paddock for the dogs to have a run and play in. The Hot Tub was brilliant we used it every day. Lots of different Beaches close by, shops and food take aways a short drive away. We had our 4 dogs it was perfect for them, would highly recommend this property.

Short stay at The Walnut

Absolutely stunning property. Extremely comfortable. Everything was to an extremely high spec. Beautiful views. Very dog friendly with a wonderful and very well kept paddock to walk the dogs around. The Welcome Pack was AMAZING!!! The owners Paul and Stella, so lovely and welcoming. Amazing location being so close to the sea. Very easy to find but more difficult to leave, as we didn’t want to go home.

Another little bit of heaven!

We normally stay in Bumblebee on the same site but needed extra space. Walnut is charming and very well equipped. There’s been thought put into the decor, equipment and finish. It’s spotlessly clean and its location for beach and countryside walks is perfect. The owners are on site, friendly and discreet. They take a real pride in the place and providing the perfect holiday environment. We will be back, that’s the truth! Back to bumblebee in November!!

The walnut, Happisburgh.

We had a wonderful week. Helped by fabulous weather most days. Cart Gap beach is nothing short of amazing and our Oscar loved it (as did we). The hosts, Paul and Stella are lovely and really helpful. We’re grateful to them for making everything so easy and welcoming. The arrival hamper had some lovely treats for all of us too - thank you. The hot tub is a brilliant addition to the property, we’d never used one before but it was a real novelty and we enjoyed it. The dog facilities are brilliant too and the paddock superb for having fun and games in in a safe environment. Overall, a lovely stay and we didn’t want to leave.

A Wonderful Stay

What a wonderful hideaway from the world! From the moment we walked in, we felt at home. The Walnut is immaculate, fresh and so welcoming. It had everything we needed for a peaceful, relaxing stay. Our pups loved the paddock and time on the beach. Dog toys, treats, towels and the outdoor dog wash were wonderful! We all came away feeling relaxed and refreshed. A great getaway with the pups!

Perfect for a dog staycation

The Walnut is a little gem. Everything is provided for both humans and dogs. It’s warm, comfortable and well equipped. The location is perfect for country and beach walks and we did both every day - a great way to wear our 9 month old puppy out!

Just as expected.

1st time stay @ The Walnut & just the same std as used to from ER cottages. Clean & tidy. Nice welcome pack for both dogs & humans. Everything needed for stay is included, inc throws for dogs to sit on sofa's. Hot Tub is a nice touch, & well sheltered location. Great dog field for them to play in, seat for humans to rest on. Private parking spot just by your own gate. Owners very friendly & nothing is a issue. Actual location of cottage is good, & not far from everything you need. Love the surrounding area. so quiet & peaceful.

Amazing time at The Walnut

The Walnut was everything we hoped for and more! Stella and Paul made sure that we were settled in on our arrival and assured us that if there was anything we needed they were just next door. The Walnut is beautiful and is fully equipped for dogs and humans! The welcome hamper was lovely with delicious local produce and lots of treats for Dennis the Cockapoo - the reason we were there!! Dennis loved his trips to the beach but I think he loved the paddock even more. The Walnut is brilliantly situated for visiting lots of great places and Norfolk is probably the most ‘dog friendly’ area we have been to. There is plenty of information in The Walnut regarding places to visit and eat. One place we would thoroughly recommend is The Star we had some amazing food and Dennis was treated like a VIP with lots of meaty treats!! Many thanks to Stella and Paul because of their hard work and eye for detail we had an amazing week. We would definitely recommend The Walnut.

Best Holiday

Everything was perfect, everything is to a very high standard, spotlessly clean, everything was provided, beautiful hamper, lovely surprise anniversary gift. Loved cooking with the AGA . Sharing the paddock with the other guests was good and wasn’t a problem. The hot tub was a bonus and we used it a lot, so peaceful looking at the views. We can’t wait to go back. The owners made you feel so welcome .

Perfect place for a retreat with your dogs.

We absolutely loved our stay at the cosy Walnut cottage. Stella and Paul had thought of everything make you feel so welcome, like the generous welcome hamper and toweling robes. We especially enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub and gazing at the beautiful views. Buster and Tom loved their runs around the paddock which is totally safe for them. If the dogs could they’d definitely be booking again soon and we’d love to return too. I would book again and recommend to friends.

A little slice of paradise

Walnut cottage is beautifully presented ,immaculately clean and a perfect stay for our family and our dog . The moment you walk through the gate you are immediately drawn to hot tub ! Seating outside is so comfortable ,I don't think we have ever stayed at a cottage that has such comfortable seating areas inside and out ,it makes a big difference to a holiday to have this ,especially if you are just wanting to relax. Stella and Paul are fantastic hosts ,so welcoming and friendly and nothing was to much trouble . The welcome hamper was just what we needed after a long drive, so much thought had gone into it . The paddock for the dog was brilliant and surrounding area is very peaceful. Our dog loved the bed that was provided along with treats ,toys and towels. We hope to return to this amazing place one day . Thank you!

Fabulous!

Fabulous cottage, warm welcome from the owners, crates and beds for the dogs. Basket of lovely treats, amazing view from the hot tub. Quiet location, saw seals from the local beach and hares on our walk to the dog friendly pub. Would love to go back.

Wonderful week at The Walnut

Everything was perfect and well thought out. Paul and Stella had provided everything needed for our dogs stay, bowls, towels, throws, bed toys and best of all biscuits ! For us a comfy lounge, well equipped kitchen, lovely shower, and the best bed ! We loved the hot tub especially after our walks of which there are many. We loved the local beaches Cart Gap, Happisburgh and Sea Palling. The area was a peaceful retreat. We will be returning !

Our stay 5th -12th August 2023

The Walnut is a luxurious barn conversion. It is located in Happisburgh which is a quiet village in North Norfolk. The place is very comfortable, extremely clean and is the ideal location for a lovely holiday for humans and their dogs. Paul and Stella have made this location idyllic as they have provided everything you need to enjoy a relaxing stay in excellent surroundings. The beds are really comfortable, the fittings are high end. Dog beds, bowls, toys and treats are provided. There is a fabulous paddock where the dogs can run free and they can enjoy their holiday while the humans can relax in a the hot tub. Everywhere is spotlessly clean. We all had a wonderful relaxing time and would not hesitate to recommend as a superbly dog friendly location.

Wonderful Walnut

This was our second stay at The Walnut and this time we came as a large family group, booking the new Peanut & Bumblebee cottages as well. Lovely, generous welcome pack on arrival with special touches for my niece's birthday which was much appreciated. The hot tub is amazing with wonderful views across the fields. We were lucky enough to see the owl, hares and deer. Well equipped kitchen and the whole cottage was very clean. Great location to visit all the nearby beaches and quiet walks from the door. The owners are on site and very friendly and helpful. Thank you for another lovely holiday.
