"This is definitely an older hotel. The pool is large and nice (although there is black grout along the top that needs to be cleaned). However it was very annoying getting a spot at the pool as many people put their towels down and then go elsewhere taking up the majority of the pool chairs by 9am. It was easier finding a chair at the beach, which we preferred anyways. The à la carte restaurants were good, and the Mexican was the tastiest. The breakfast buffet was good but dinner and lunch could be dicey, it was disappointing there was never fresh guacamole which is what every resort on the Riviera Maya side I have been to had. There wasn’t a lot of Mexican food at the buffet at all unfortunately. The fish tacos at the grill were very good and a go to almost every day. Overall, the staff were nice but most did not go above and beyond, the pool and beach were good but the hotel needs upgrades and some more amenities as there were always line ups for everything and the buffet got very crowded with no real signage as to which direction people should go. We had a fun time, but I don’t think I would return as this resort didn’t really stand out in comparison to others."

"We had a wonderful stay at UNICO 20°105° in Riviera Nayarit. The resort is clean, modern, and beautifully designed. The spa was absolutely fabulous, and the rooftop deck offered breathtaking views—perfect for relaxing and taking it all in. A highlight of our stay was the tequila tasting with Gustavo, which was both fun and informative, and water aerobics with Natalie, who brought great energy. The service throughout the resort was outstanding—Eugene, David, Betza, and Carlos were consistently kind, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. We also loved the casino night and live music, which added to the fun atmosphere. A special thanks to Elmer and Angel at the concierge desk—they were always available, incredibly helpful, and made reservations and activities effortless. The location is excellent, close to both a local market and a mall, making it easy to explore. We would absolutely return and highly recommend UNICO 20°105° for a relaxing and memorable getaway. "

"This resort far exceeded my expectations! I have stayed at higher “starred” resorts which came nowhere near this property in terms of overall experience… the property is extremely clean, resort staff are fun & welcoming, and food is good. The pools are on the smaller side but you are right on the beautifully kept beach. I can’t say enough about how clean, well-maintained & safe this hotel feels!! Bravo to the amazing staff who help you have a wonderful stay… as a picky traveller this was the easiest five starts I have given!"

"Well, I’ll start with the pros. The hotel and staff are great. Now, I’m assuming they must have paid for any reviews that say the food is 5 stars. First thing I tried: The outdoor “tiki taco” serves stale chips and shriveled-up hot dogs and something resembling a taco tasted so bad everything out there the cheese stuff for the nachos tasted like bargain brand artificial gross I figured that the steak restaurant would be good; you needed to come early and wait in line, so it has to be yummy, I thought. Wrong; they started it off with some stale bread in a cast iron dish. Tasted like Wonderbread that was left open for a few days. The steak and shriveled-up French fries were so disappointing; both of our steaks were overcooked and tough. I thought, “OK, maybe they can only do Mexican food well,” so when we woke up, we tried the breakfast buffet. Kinda like a hometown buffet but with worse food. The worst part was the Mexican food; I’m from Arizona and love Mexican food, and this was just “glop.” They don’t even have tortillas; that’s not a joke; seriously, they don’t have tortillas at the buffet. There is nowhere else to eat close to the hotel, so you are stuck with it unless you Uber to town. No hot tub. Also, they have a separate bar and areas for people who pay for the elite club. I’m glad I didn’t pay for it because it’s all the same food. The pizza in the buffet is the same as the busted Italian restaurant. The hotel is beautiful, but the food is so bad. "

"Cleanliness 12/10 Location 10/10 Room 10/10 Beach 10/10 Food 6/10 Drinks 9/10 Staff 9.5/10 Not sure why there were things not included in the all-inclusive package. You have to read the fine print (ice cream not included!) Also there was no dish, dishwasher or laundry soap. On the bright side there is a mall and grocery store just outside the gate. Food was ok, but most ppl order lunch from the beach bar so it gets quite backed up. The wait staff are great, as is the beach, the hotel and the rooms. "
