What stood out to us were the staff at breakfast. They were so welcoming and made sure everything was okay. Also our room was kept clean everyday when we got back to our room after breakfast. Made our stay very comfortable.

Excellent stay

We enjoyed our stay very much. The staff were absolutely wonderful. They were very attentive and very helpful. We were treated like family. Breakfast was great and the food at the restaurant was delicious. We were walking distance to the market and to the dive shop. Thank you everyone at Tanoa!

the folks here are so nice and welcoming and helpful. the breakfast was good, the rooms are air con and comfy. its walking distance to the wharf and to many restaurants and sights. recommend!

Relaxing week's stay at Tanoa International Dateline Hotel; loved the mid-winter warmth - along with the friendly Tongan service throughout the hotel. The Tanoa was an amazing hotel to stay at. The staff there were the best we experienced in our 5 different stays on this trip - so helpful, happy and accommodating. The breakfast included was second to none. The only downside was the pool closing early and the parking in the back of the hotel - the road in needs repair.

This property is the best in tonga however to come into a room crawling with small cockroaches was a little dissapointing, the bedding was clean and changed whenever requested, yhe pool was excellent, the breakfast offered variety of choice , with excellent staff
Turtle sanctuary, apperently there were no turtles seen but plenty of plastic bags and bottles, the very thing that kills turtles
The blow holes, well worth visiting, quite clean and tidy area,
View of sunrise from our room window, there was no balcony in these rooms but they did have a great view, no comfortable chair to sit in so i would suggest opt for a room with a balcony

The most well established and largest hotel in Tonga, with a great location on the waterfront just near the heart of Nuku’Alofa - with easy access to restaurants, shops, the central market, the palace and offices. The hotel has a pool and a restaurant, but the menu is very limited and the lobby bar was not open when I was there. My oceanfront room was pretty good, but not that spacious for the high price, there was no comfortable lounge chair and noise drifted up from events downstairs. Staff were friendly and kind - but there need to be more of them to support the high number of guests and functions.

Well appointed hotel in the heart of Nuku’alofa. Lovely pool, amazing staff. Fairly limited menu. Only issue I had was the walls are paper thin so my neighbour with a love of singing along to the tv and loud phone calls all hours of the night meant didn’t sleep so well.

the staff very friendly tonga in expensive so this is maybe the only one that have hotel standars has a pool big breakfast is 2 min from the market where i cut my hair also 5 min from city center and restaurants

Good hospitality but limited options for food

Overall in my two weeks stay, the only glitch was their menu and the noise control. It was noisy till late night inside and outside the hotel. Their menu was pretty limited and the specials menu were quite repetitive. The best part was their own vegetable garden from where they sourced the ingredients. I had one of the best churros. The staff were really very hospitable, friendly and efficient.
