Oceanfront, dog-friendly home with an open living floor plan that is nicely decorated and great for families. This vacation rental welcomes up to one dog per reservation year-round. Enjoy two living areas with a large flat screen TV in the main living equipped with cable and streaming capabilities.

Direct beach access, covered porch with picnic table, outdoor furniture, small oceanfront sundeck and outside shower.

Three TV's with extended cable, DVD player, high-speed wireless internet access and phone. Washer and dryer, dishwasher, HVAC and ceiling fans.

VERY POOR QUALITY

This house was EXTREMELY DIRTY, mold growing in bathroom shower upstairs, washed every single beds bedding completely covered in sand. Bedroom door was ripped off the hinges & sitting in bedroom. House is listed for sale which is no problem, until the realtor shows up to show the property while we had it booked. Next, rental companies deliver golf carts before our stay has ended for the next tenant, leaving us very minimal parking space. Exterior doors did not shut properly. Really the only thing this house had going good for it was its convenient beach access.

Location is the saving grace of this property

Location is the best part of this property. Kitchen was well stocked with supplies. Otherwise, we were pretty disappointed with this house, especially for the cost. Smelled so musty that we sprayed air freshener daily in an attempt to cover up the odor. In desperate need of an update. Door jambs stick on almost every interior door. One bedroom door was completely off the hinges. Dining room table was far too large for the small space which made the room unusable. Not enough seating in the living room. The porch was amazing and honestly where we spent most of our time. Location made up for the disappointing condition of the home.

Porch by the sea!

Nice place on the beach with lots of restaurants nearby. This place could stand some attention, though. Lamps are needed in all bedrooms for reading and ease of getting into bed. Trash cans should be in all restrooms. Decor in bedrooms in old, needs updating. Pretty and well stocked kitchen. Steps to the beach - it is a little steep. Beautiful sunsets from the porch! Not a fan of the linen service where you have to make up beds upon arrival!

Disappointed 😞

We arrived the Saturday after hurricane hurricane Ian went through.. We had requested to reschedule but that was not an option per Oak Island accommodations. So we honored our trip but when we reached the location we found that no preparations for our arrival had occurred. The ocean front windows, patio doors and porch furniture were filthy from the storm. You couldn't even see out the windows. So I took a wet cloth and wiped them down enough to see out of them. Part of paying for an ocean front property is to be able to see the ocean the ocean. Then when we went inside it was like the entire downstairs had not been prepared for our stay. One toilet was stopped up and has debris in it. One bedroom the comforter on top of the bed was dirty with dirt, sand and cereal on the bed cover. And a dresser was pulled out from the wall revealing dirt, a sock & uno cards!! They were apparently assessing water damage, but never cleaned up the mess nor moved the dresser back. As if those things weren't enough, to me the worst thing of all was that the beach access path mat was wadded up in a heap. It and the beach access were completely destroyed & impassable!! My 73 year old mother-in-law had never seen the ocean, so it was very disappointing she couldn't easily walk to the beach! My husband worked on it the best he could with no tools & made it "okay" for the younger members of our group to pass. Even our neighbors who used the same access thanked my husband for working on it as his wife couldn't use the path prior to him working on it. After all these issues I contacted Oak Island Accommodations. Their housekeeping staff came out Sunday morning & fixed the issues downstairs. Brought ME window cleaner to do the oceanfront windows & patio doors!! Was I supposed to have to clean those for real??? And when I contacted Oak Island Accommodations on Oct 2, 2022 they said they would get someone out there to fix the beach access. We left on Wednesday Oct 5th & nobody ever came to work on the beach access!!! We walked my mother-in-law down the street to find a safe beach access for her. Overall I will never rent anything from Oak Island Accommodations or VRBO again! I was never offered any refund or any discounts in regard to all the issues we had! I spent thousands on this rental, was not allowed to reschedule, so I felt like we kept our obligation, so should have the property management. They were not prepared for us coming and I am not happy!

Trip was terrific, wonderful stay

This was our families third time in Oak Island and this home did not disappoint. Very spacious for our crew and the fishing was amazing. Would definitely recommend to anyone.

great house. location fantastic

house is literally steps from beach. Only complaint is I emailed prop mgr back in Jan asking if there were ever cats in house. Have severe cat allergy. I never got a response which is totally on me for not following up on my question. However as soon as I walked in and immediately reacted. Carpets need to be replaced as their is cat/dog hair embedded in carpet. That is a personal complaint. That aside house is super roomy. The deck is huge and no issue with 10 of us sitting comfortably. The location is really amazing.
