Great house- frustrating check in!

The house was *terrific*…clean, new, and modern!!! Grocery store within easy walking distance. We were able to see alligators in the marshland (we were safe on the dock/walkway!) which was a highlight for my boys. However, it look us an hour to get into the house. We received no check in instructions and then called multiple times on an “emergency” line to try and get assistance from someone. Once we finally got someone, they were pleasant and helpful, but getting help was frustrating. Without the checkin headache, a perfect trip!

The house was great. Plenty of room for all to hang out and visit. Having a second area on the pool level was great for the kids. The covered outdoor space on the main level was especially nice because it was shaded. Had been a little apprehensive about the length of the boardwalk to the beach but it was not a factor. Having access to a cart to haul stuff out was a bonus! The kids got a kick out of seeing an alligator (named him Kyle) and a deer. Kitchen had all the necessary equipment for a large group. Kids enjoyed the hot tub and the pool when they tired of the beach. Overall, a great week and hope to rent again next year.

House was very well stocked and check in was easy. However it was not at all clean when we arrived. Food under the beds, dirty bath mats, area around pool not swept, trash cans outside absolutely full . We had nowhere to put out trash until the Tuesday pick up four days after we arrived. Management sent a cleaning crew over the day after we arrived. Trash was put out for collection 2 days after we arrived but not emptied until pick up day. 3 stars because of above problems. There definitely needs to be better oversight of cleaning etc as it really spoiled our first couple of days having to call re problems. The house itself was so beautiful with a magnificent view, but the state of cleaning etc and was unacceptable.
