"Cleanliness was above. It rained hard one day, but to sit on the porch and smell and listen to it was what I needed. The big surprise was there were feral cats, and it made me feel like I was home. The worst part was having only three days, and I had to leave. Thank you again. I am looking forward to many more stays."

"This house is in a very peaceful area. House was clean and comfortable. Loved the sunroom. Due to high water levels it was difficult to use the dock. Lost power, but it was restored quickly. Kitchen is nice and well-stocked. Pans are in rough shape. You definitely need to bring food to cook as there is no place close to eat out or get groceries. We enjoyed Nolin Lake State Park and Mammoth Cave State Park. Overall a nice stay."

"The layout is nice, the view is wonderful. The noise level from highway is loud at times. The windows do not all have screens and some of them have openings that let in bugs. The kitchen is not well equipped with items, such as sharp knives, coffee, baking pans, or serving dishes. The pillows are terrible and the blankets are cheap."

"Our family had a very nice 3 night stay. The weather cooperated as much as we needed, and the large covered deck helped out when the weather couldn't contain itself. Mammoth Caves are a very short drive, and the drive to Bolling Green (for the Corvette Museum) was beautiful. The owners of the property could have been more helpful, and responsive. "The property was very nice and clean. I was a little misled with location information. We were looking for something close to mammoth cave and the listing stated 16 minute drive, we couldn’t find that route and it was more like 45 minutes. Maybe if we took the green river ferry but it was only open from 8-6."

"My boys and I were looking for a nice place to go and get away from memorial weekend. The house is located close to the lake. We were able to rent a boat and have a nice day on the lake Saturday and then come back to a relaxing house for the rest of the weekend. We dealt with several severe storms. The owner was kind enough to reach out to us while we were on the lake to let us know that we were out of power, and that it should be back on soon."

"The house was very reasonably priced so we did not go with high expectations. The location is great with spectacular views of Barren Lake. Everything is very simple with comfy beds and clean bathrooms. The rental was clean and comfortable. It could use updating but for the price it is more than reasonable and I can completely understand the owners not wanting to invest. Altogether we had a great time. Thank you"

"We were in for my daughter's college graduation and while this was a 30 minute drive it was great to get away and be in the country on the lake. The house was exactly as portrayed, if not better. It had everything you needed from the kitchen to all the toys. Highly, highly recommend if you're looking to have a nice get away in the country."
