「Reggae music in the bar, great kitchen with super tasty food, fast service and friendly folks, the best sea view you can imagine, still low season end of April so barely any people than us on the beach. Half occupancy in the guesthouse, lively in the bar at night. Clean as clean it can be with a house right on the beach. A perfect combination of all things good in life. ありがとうございました, Familiar! 「Our stay with Hideo and his family made our entire trip to Japan. Saying this is a vacation home does not do it justice. It’s more like staying with family. Family who take you around to see the sights, family who take you in and enjoys a meal with you, who treats your children like their own, shows you all the best things Japan has to offer. 「Our crew enjoyed a delightful time in the Kyoto farmhouse. The hosts were most accommodating, Hideo-San is a man of many talents, and his wife is compassionate and very kind. The house itself had the necessary items for cooking and living comfortably. There is a very sweet café, which features kitties and delicious food just a few footsteps away. If we ever find ourselves in this part of the world again, we will certainly reach out and reconnect with these sweet landlords. 」

"I do not recommend to stay in this hotel if... 1). you cannot speak basic Japanese. The staff cannot speak basic English and they were not even trying to use any translator device to communicate with foreign guests. I had to use limited Japanese to communicate with the staff. 2). you cannot tolerate heat nor noise. I checked in 2 days ago. This is already April which is spring season, but the hotel still had not offered cool function of air conditioning. How stubborn the hotel management is. So I was forced to open the window and use the electric fan (when the staff handed me the fan, they did not even wipe off the dust, so it was very dirty.) By the way, as I had to open the window at night, I was annoyed by the noise of the terrible local motorbike gangs. Yet the location of this hotel is superb ~ opposite to the JR station and also a little shopping mall."
