Wonderful quiet hotel in the village

Wonderful hotel in the small village of Oberstdorf. Very clean and walkable to local restaurants and bars. Hotels.com says this hotel has a bar, but it has been closed since COVID so no “bar.” That was a disappointment. You can get beer and wine from the restaurant, which is an outstanding restaurant. Breakfast is also great.

Wir hatten einen sehr angenehmen Aufenthalt in diesem Hotel. Der Empfang war ausgesprochen freundlich und zuvorkommend. Unser Zimmer war nicht nur sauber, sondern auch großzügig und ruhig gelegen. Besonders positiv ist die Lage: Man erreicht die Altstadt in nur fünf Minuten zu Fuß. Direkt vor der Tür hält ein Bus, was die Anbindung zusätzlich erleichtert. Das Hotelrestaurant hat ebenfalls überzeugt – hier stimmt das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis definitiv. Insgesamt waren wir rundum zufrieden und können das Hotel nur weiterempfehlen!

Es befanden sich leider dunkle Haare auf der Bettwäsche bei Ankunft. Ebenso haben wir die ersten Stunden des Abends sehr gefroren, das Zimmer war bei Ankunft sehr kalt. Im Laufe des Abends wurde es dann bei voller Heuzkraft besser. Lage war für uns perfekt. Restaurant und Service waren perfekt. Sehr gutes Restaurant und Frühstück!

This is the second time we've stayed here. It is perfect as a base for skiing. Plus points are: staff, restaurant, breakfast, sauna, location, Oberstdorf, mountain view ...i.e. everything you could ask for. The building itself is wonderful too - characterful and finished to a very high standard.

Fussläufige Nähe zur Loipe und zum Gästehaus Oberstdorf. Direkt neben der Baustelle zur neuen Therme. Im Winter kein Problem. Im Sommer vermutlich Baustellenlärm.

Gut, aber in einigen Dingen nicht zeitgemäß

Gutes Hotel mit sehr gutem Sauna Bereich. Mit der Küche ist kein Michelin Stern zu holen, es ist aber ok. Das Personal ist wirklich sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Was mich wirklich störte: 20 EUR Pfand für Bademäntel. Damit wird jeder unter Generalverdacht gestellt diese entwenden zu wollen. Ich bin beruflich 180 Tage im Jahr in Hotels + 30 weitere privat. Das hatte ich lange nicht mehr gesehen. Ebenso wie Aufschläge bei Zahlungen mit Kreditkarten. Hier wird es wohl Zeit die nächste Generation ans Ruder zu lassen.
