We have vacationed at the Yellow Sub for several years . Ken and Betty, the owners, continue to work to improve the guest experience each year. Inside and out, the Yellow Sub is very clean. The beach access is fantastic! It is a perfect destination for our family vacations. We love staying at the Yellow Sub.

We all fit in the Yellow Submarine

The Yellow Submarine is our go to annual girls trip home! I can't say enough about how perfect the homes is for our group which is why we book it every year for the same weekend. It accommodates our every need and is always clean! And the hosts are very responsive if we need anything. Love it here and look forward to it every year!

Best house at Ocean Isle Beach

We are a return visitor to the Yellow Submarine and can say hands down this is the best house we have stayed at, at Ocean Isle Beach. The house is very well stocked and always clean, and the owners are phenomenal to work with. My only hesitation in writing this review is I don't want the best kept secret to get out about how great this house and owner are!

This is the greatest house!

This is our 2nd year renting, and we would, never consider going anywhere else! It’s stocked with everything you need, and with the open floor plan, it accommodates large group for the dining room/living room area. It an awesome house!

The yellow submarine after many years of being there remains our families favorite place to be together! It was in amazing shape when we arrived and did not disappoint us. The weather was not the best, but the location, the house and our time together was! We look forward to the next time. 💛

This is a beautiful house right on the beach. We had a small family reunion. Two large dining tables provided plenty of room for eating. Each bedroom has its own bathroom. Easy access. Thank you!

The best home friends and family gatherings!

We absolutely love staying at the Yellow Sub. There is not one thing you could change about this home. It is so well equipped in the kitchen and in each bedroom. We had three large families with kids ages 1-12. We had the absolutely best trip. You cannot ask for a better place to stay when you are ocean front and have a pool! Everyone including the adults want to go back as soon as possible! Thank you Ken and Betty!

OIB Delight

I have vacationed at OIB for over 20 years and the Yellow Sub was by far the best stocked house I have rented. Dishes, cookware, cleaning items, toilet paper, paper towels, beach/pool gear— it had it all. There was plenty of room for everyone to have their own space when they needed it and areas where the whole gang could gather together comfortably. I would not hesitate to rent this property again.

Absolutely perfect

This was our 2nd stay at the Yellow Sub. It is a great location with all the amenities you can desire. Our group of 7 women enjoy all the outdoor areas from the beach front to the delightful pool. Plenty of room for us to enjoy a puzzle and games on one table and still have the other for our meals. We are already planning our next mini vacation getaway!! Ken and Betty are wonderful to work with. Can’t express in words how much we love it here!!! ❤️

THE BEST BEACH VACATION EVER!

We have vacationed with my husbands family all over the Carolinas and this house set up was BY FAR the best we have ever had. The pictures don't do it justice at all. Everything was clean, well maintained, this house had EVERYTHING you needed. The location was perfect. steps from the beach and the pool was right under the house which was ideal. We had 7 adults and 4 toddlers and just had the best time with PLENTY of space. Thank you again and we hope to book with you next summer!

Wonderful week at the Yellow Sub house

From the moment we arrived we fell in love with this house and the location! The views from all the decks on the back are wonderful. You can't ask for anything better then being beach front! Plus, this home is located right between two public beach access points, which makes the spot on the beach in front of the house pretty empty. At times, we felt like we had the whole beach to ourselves! Owners were great. We had one minor issue with the elevator (user error) and they sent someone out within the hour! I hope we get the chance to stay at the Yellow Sub house again someday soon!

Awesome house!

Our group of 10 ladies thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Yellow Submarine. We were allowed to check in early, which pleased many in our group. The accomodations are top notch, with each BR having its own bath. The kitchen is probably the best stocked kitchen I've ever encountered in a rental! We had everything we needed for our large group. The pool was great, being partially covered, and the bathroom next to the pool was very handy. Check-in was easy, and having the elevator made it very easy to move things upstairs. The main living area is very comfortable and the dining area easily accomodates large groups. The ice maker in the kitchen was great, and there is even a large pantry to store your food. The owners had several notebooks containing pertinent information about the house, and even included pictures of cabinets and shelves showing where everything should be stored. The house was clean and inviting. We did not encounter any problems during our visit, and already booked it for our visit next year! Best OIB visit ever!

Excellent location

Yellow Sub offered the perfect beach location. Loved not having to lug beach chairs, umbrellas etc to the beach each day. The house had plenty of room and was very well stocked. We certainly appreciated having basic cleaning supplies and paper products provided. I was a little concerned as the pool was cloudy (from previous occupants) as we arrived and the ice maker did not work but the pool guy was already working on clearing it up as was the repairman for the ice maker. An unexpected plus was a bathroom near the pool. It was nice having smart tvs in all the bedrooms but the downside was slow internet.

Surprised & Delighted - "Love Me Do"

This was a very special vacation for our family; which was made even better by this beautiful beach property. The photos online give an overview, but don't impart just how family friendly & attractive this property is. The bathrooms were all clean and very high functioning. The water pressure was perfect. Laundry machine is new and works as it should. Property is very roomy with all amenities you need & more. There were snacks provided and extra linens and soaps. The beach access is amazing with gates that keep it very safe and secure for all ages of Children. A well appointed kitchen, large eating area and a pristine pool completed the property. Much thought has gone into the arrangement of this property. The owners were prompt & very professional with any questions or concerns we had about the property. A 5 star experience from start to finish and would recommend anyone with small children / larger families to consider as everything is worth it for this property.
