老神温泉

Shisuitei is a traditional Japanese-style hotel with onsen and sauna facilities. Technically in the middle of nowhere, it was the perfect hotel to relax and slowdown after a day of snowboarding. The dinner and breakfast, set in a private room was delicious! And the nakai (hotel staff) were very friendly and helpful. I'd love to come back here in the summer. Location: Gunma Prefecture We went by car but they also provide a free pick-up service to and from both Numata Station on the JR Joetsu Line and Jomo-kogen Station on the JR Joetsu Shinkansen Line.

One of the nine lifts that take you up the mountain to various courses. This year has been one of the warmest winters we've had in Japan, thus the lack of snow.
