"This is an exquisite property with views odd both the front and back of the villa. From the back of the house, you can see Assisi glimmering in the afternoon sun. The property has a gardener who comes to tend the yard and oil each morning. The owner is a local vinter, owning the vineyards and olive groves surrounding the villa. The bedrooms are spacious - each with their own bath. Common areas are abundant as well. There are several dining locations both inside and outdoors. The pool is lovely with seating and lounge chairs nearby. Daniele - our host was very responsive to all questions/issues and provided us a complimentary set of his wines to enjoy during our stay! Torgiano and surrounding towns also have a host of great restaurants to try as well as a grocery store and farmacia less than a mile down the road. Such an amazing place to enjoy all that Umbria has to offer! "

"Our stay at Villa Santa Maria was incredible. The property was beautiful and everything was clean and well maintained. The are 2 adjacent units, one with 4 bedrooms and another with 3. Plenty of bathrooms for everyone. We had access to the full property with amazing accommodations. We made wood fired pizza on our last night!Our host, Franca, was very accommodating and easily reachable in case we had a question or needed something. We spent a lot of time in the pool (which was amazing) and there were plenty of towels. Everyone in our party enjoyed their stay and we can't wait to come back!If you love ceramics (especially from Deruta), Franca has a wonderful collection of plates, mugs, bowls, etc.Also be sure to check out the sunset from the balcony!"

"We booked about one year ahead of our stay. The interaction we had with our host was greatly appreciated and upon arrival we were in awe as it was more than we expected. The views, pool, all bedrooms and bathrooms were what was expected. The table at the entry way superseded anything that we expected or encountered. Different languages, suggestions for short trips, day trips, history, choices of venues, restaurants and answers to any question. Renato was very helpful in sending us directions to the Villa and he even sprayed our cars to remove dust and dirt prior to our departure.In every way"
