Thanks to Alison for her great hospitality by phone as well as in person, also her tour in the morning about the Sanctuary. Highly recommend this place for anyone who wish to support their work as well as to enjoy a bit of relax atmosphere in Port Stephens.」

「The wanderers retreat is a lovely spot. We will definitely be back. It was only a short drive to the town centre but felt like you were out in your own private rainforest. There was so much wildlife. A magpie family that visit several times a day, kookaburras and even a couple of cheeky possums. 」

「You like in the woods in a cabin. You have to go outside to go to the toilet. The kitchen is an outdoor kitchen but with everything needed. Everything was clean. The owner was extremely nice and helpful. It was an experience in itself just to stay there. Would highly recommend. You would have the best experience with a car since the busses only comes once an hour. The bus stop is right infront of the hostel though.」
