About the house

The agent of the house was very poor. I don’t think that they did a good job of a walk through. The air didn’t work but someone came to fix it then the dryer didn’t work I texted about that someone came but it still didn’t work. I’m not a hard person to get alone with. I really would like a discount I stay on this property every year and I have never had any problems with the other people I have rented from I know thinks happen but I think the owner was tried of me complaining.

On paper, this property checked all the boxes for our trip.What we remember was the chintzy experience.After reserving the home, we were informed that limited supplies were provided and it might be helpful to bring additional TP, garbage bags, detergent, soap, and cleaning supplies if needed.I inquired, “Since we reserved an entire week, is it possible to receive a few extra garbage bags and TP.”Answer, “The home is self catering. You must purchase your extra items. We only leave a starter supply.”So we packed some extra supplies and purchased other items before arriving.After preheating the oven, we were surprised to find a melted cutting board inside. We searched the drawers for an oven mitt and found none: not even a kitchen towel. We used spatulas and metal tongs to remove it.Beds missing pillows. Bathrooms missing hand towels. TVs missing remotes. A toilet seat was not attached. There were 6 spoons in the house, (sleeps up to 17 guests). There were burned out lightbulbs and lamps without knobs to turn them off. A barstool was broken. Closet doors off track.The essence of our stay was summed up when I asked the group, "Where’s the salt and pepper?" Someone replied: "I think they are next to the oven mitts!"Things worked out okay, but the house became the butt of every joke.The host responded to my messages. She brought by pillows and oven mitts (after we bought some) and apologized for the missing and broken things.The home felt neglected.
