The Mystic Santa Fe
10/10 Excellent
"My daughter and I were driving from MN to AZ and chose to make a stop in Santa Fe. We loved it. The Mystic was clean, comfortable and a fun chill environment. Live music, delicious breakfast, comfortable common areas, we enjoyed it. Loved the decor and unique touches too. The gated entrance was appreciated as well. I found I love having my car parked right outside my door. So convenient. Staff were all friendly and helpful. Would stay again and recommend to others."
"This is a charming place for a motel type lodging. Although it’s on a busy road once you walk back onto the property there are lots of trees and birds and the buildings and grounds are very nicely maintained. The room was very quiet. I would recommend two places to eat a very short walk away: Matisse Cafe (lovely place and great French pastries), and The Pantry. Also the Ikonic coffee shop up the road is funky and good brews."
"Property due for a renovation. Staff did their best, kudos. Lots of noise through the walls, hvac is old with the cumbersome vented wall units, loud and room was overly hot, pillows not comfortable. Coffee maker broken in room, some items out at breakfast which was so-so. This local is close to Scottsdale plaza and restaurants, have stayed at more modern Best Westerns with better amenities so judging against that and value for price."
"This property is pretty old and worn down. They’ve tried to spruce it up with a paint job, but it’s extremely dated and in need of repairs. The staff was friendly."
"The pool and spa were closed and when I called to make sure they had a pool wasn’t told this. The room was not clean there was a die cockroach on the bathroom floor. The shampoo wouldn’t come out of the bottle. The toilet clogged up. When I called the front desk the lady told me “well do you want a plunger to plug the toilet” I told I guess i need the restroom when I’m here. I went down and she handed me a plunger in a bag. So I was going to have to fix it my self. I showed her the picture of the dead cockroach and told her if I had the money to somewhere else I would. She gave me another room and still wanted me to plug the toilet before I moved. I asked to talk to the manager but since it was 11pm one was not there. I asked the next morning and the kid working told me she left a note for the manager. I have to get new keys because I was locked out of my room the second day. I never heard from the manager and I asked 3 more time to talk to one. I was so upset with this hotel will never say there again. "
