Beautiful Character Villa and Trullo in Ostuni Olive Grove with Private Pool

June to Sept TUESDAY TO TUESDAY rental to save you on flight costs. This holiday home has all the character of stone vaulted rooms and a conical trullo but with the convenience of a newly renovated, well insulated design. Very good unlimited wifi included. Modern bathrooms and kitchen with professional cooker. Look out from the veranda over the pool to the Agaves and Olive trees, or from the roof terrace, great for evening parties, to the Adriatic or the beautifully lit Carovigno and its castle. Seven minutes drive to Ostuni, the white city, "the jewel of Puglia" with its wonderful old city to explore by day or enjoy in the warm night air. Relax in old bars, or the sophisticated modernity melted into the solid stone. Carovigno has a lot to offer from gourmet to great value restaurants with fantastic food and low prices. Italians choose to holiday here. The veranda has an outside kitchen, popular in southern Italy, and we have two barbecues. The local fish, meat and vegetables are exceptional so you can go into town later and chill, or just watch the sun go down, poolside.
Villa Acacia is in between Ostuni, Carovigno and the beaches with all the convenience that gives in getting around and to the beaches etc. and not wasting precious holiday time. The Tuesday to Tuesday rental from June to September is to help with what have been increasing flight costs, and to help those from airports with only a few flights per week and especially one on Tuesday like Edinburgh, and many smaller airports in Europe. And it works for the larger airports too where they have flights every day of the week.

Wir hatten die Unterkunft für 6 Tage gebucht. Es war alles unkompliziert und die Häuser waren wie beschrieben. In jedem Haus gab es ein separates Bad mit Koch oder Wohnzimmerbereich. Im Haupthaus mit Terrasse und Dachterrasse sind zwei Schlafzimmer mit Doppelbett und im zweiten Haus ist ein Schlafzimmer. Beide Häuser sind sehr schön saniert. Zwei Schlafzimmer haben Trullicharakter. Im Oktober war es bei uns etwas kälter, aber die Klimaanlagen haben über Nachg auch gewärmt, sodass wir uns rundum wohlgefühlt haben. Die Lage ist fantastisch, mitten im Olivenhain, am Ende der Straße. Wer die Ruhe genießen möchte ist hier genau richtig. Ostuni ist mit dem Auto in 10min erreichbar, der Strand mit seinen Zahlreichen Buchten in ca. 20min. Es ist ein perfekter Ausgangspunkt um Apulien zu entdecken.

Our villa was located in the middle of a large olive grove well away from other properties, the nearest being at least200 metres away. Will, the owner, was the most helpful, thoughtful and generous host we could have met. He had built the property himself from the ground up and supplied an amazing amount of games and equipment to make our stay enjoyable. Our stay was in late September when mosquitos were a bit of a nuisance but he equipped the place with plenty of anti mosquito plug ins. The weather was very unkind during our week with rain, a terrible thunderstorm and a flash flood across the site but Will appeared during the storm to restore the electricity and give us all the help we needed.

We had a wonderful stay at Villa Acacia. The property was lovely, clean, comfortable and with everything you could think of.Our host Will was the best!!! From the communication on booking, throughout the period prior to our stay and then during our stay. So amenable and generous, a great host. Kitchen had plenty of crockery and pans, microwave, massive cooker. An outside BBQ with plenty of wood.The ground were filled with Olive trees and some fruit trees. A magical place. We were all very sad to leave and hope to return. Thank you Will!

Villa Acacia was very clean and well equipped with everything you need, including bikes, games, travel books etc. Our host, Will, was incredibly helpful, quick to answer any messages, but respectful of our privacy.The area was tranquil and attractive. Our mistake was hiring a large car, as the approach roads can be narrow in places. The welcome food package was excellent no need to buy water as well as lots of other extras we normally have to shop for straight away (Will is very generous!)Both the swimming pool and roof terrace were welcoming for cooling down and taking in the views.

Beautiful property, fully equipped with everything you could want & more. Very thoughtfully equipped, from games, beach gear (towels, beach umbrellas, pool floats and a very generously filled fridge! Will, the owner, could not have been more helpful and welcoming! The house served as a great place to relax and chill, but also as a base. Ostuni, Franca Martina etc and the beautiful beaches at Torre Guaceto are all within easy driving distance! Very highly recommended!

Excellent stay near Ostuni

A real adventure in an original trulli home in the heart of the countryside. Fabulous swimming pool, most welcome in the summer heat. Will, our host, could not have been more pleasant. Even down to rescuing us when we had a breakdown. Not to mention the wonderful gifts and the olive oil from the property! Highly recommended. One thing to be aware of is the size of your car when navigating the very narrow laneways to the property. Many thanks Will.

Could not have been more delightful

The charming italian country houses were welcoming and well equipped. From the rooms to the lovely pool, everything was clean. A lot of equipment was provided to enjoy the spare time e.g. playing table tennis. The extremely welcoming host did go to great lengths to make our stay even more pleasant, offering local tips and insights.

Our stay exceeded our expectations.As others have written Will is an outstanding host,who goes above and beyond what most hosts do. He responded to emails quickly, stocked the kitchen with food, gave advice on restaurants and beaches. Even brought us fresh baked goods one morning.The property itself is wonderful. Each bedroom is quite spacious, and the one living room area is larger than it appears in photos.Yes there is no dining room, but not a problem as there is little rainfall. The pool is great, surrounded by olive trees.Will is still working on the plantings so a few side areas look unfinished.We stayed with our two adult children very comfortably.We would return in a heartbeat

The most wonderful host ever!

The property was WONDERFUL, comfortable, in a very peaceful setting, but more importantly, our host, Will , was simply THE BEST!!! Our stay was a wonderful and a very memorable experience! The Villa was so authentic and we really felt part of Ostuni… Will is amazing! His communication was incredible and his hospitality equaled that 👍 He even gave us all a gift of the best olive oil freshly pressed from the olive trees which surround the villa!! We had a wonderful stay at Will’s property. He was a very attentive host and left no stone unturned to make our stay a big success. Will provided practical help with many things throughout our stay, and was a mine of helpful local information too. The property is perfectly clean and comfortable and extremely well equipped. It was lovely to be able to use both the Trullo house and the bigger house for our party and the communal areas were great spaces to be able to get together. The pool was a bit chilly in late October (as Will told us it would be), but it was lovely to have the opportunity to use it. It was such a pleasure to be able to relax in the tranquility of the land of Will’s estate, with the olive trees and oranges and lavender around us. We couldn’t recommend this place highly enough for a wonderful holiday experience in beautiful Puglia.

Our stay was exceptional. The host went of their way to ensure we had information about the area with suggestions on places to go, how to get there and options for dining and shopping. Communication was outstanding. We were greeted on arrival. The villa was beautiful. It was beyond our expectations. The property was updated, decorated tastefully, well maintained and squeaky clean. There were so many thoughtful details such as extra towels, candles, wine, cheese, munchies, the list is endless including delicious cakes for birthday celebrations. The villa was in an olive grove and among almond, fig, pomegranate and a variety of citrus trees. It had an herb garden and a variety of interesting plants. Every room had its own unique charm. We enjoyed the peace, quiet and safe environment. It was a short drive into Ostuni, neighbouring villages and markets and a perfect base for touring Puglia. Thank you again for the wonderful experience. It was beyond our expectations and we loved it!

Peaceful retreat

With a group of 4 friends, we stayed here for a week at the end of August. Will was an excellent host, provided us a stocked refrigerator so we didn’t have to rush out at the end of a long travel day, showed us around Ostuni and was available to answer any questions and help us with good restaurants, things to see, etc. The property is so tranquil after being in busy tourist sites during the day. We made use of the pool and all the outdoor spaces. It was a little tricky to find on our first try, but once found was an easy and short drive to Ostuni. Would highly recommend staying at this property; if I find myself back in Puglia I won’t hesitate to stay here again.

Unique experience

Villa Acacia is surrounded by olive trees. From the minute we arrived we felt relaxed and immersed in Puglia. The owner's generosity was extensive. It is most unusual to arrive at a holiday rental with more than the basics but in this case we had everything from pasta and sauces to a selection of drinks, eggs to get us started. The personal touch of home made marmalade and local pastries delivered to us was the icing on the cake. We felt spoilt. The pool was perfect in size and temperature. The roof terrace superb in the evening for meals with sea views in the distance and a cooling breeze. We liked having a sitting room outside as its so different from being at home. We are so glad we opted for a trulli and what must have been an exhaustive restoration process is evident. Ostuni is remarkably close as is the supermarket but far enough away to feel you are still in a rural sanctuary. Ostuni is stunning and is a labyrinthe of cobbled streets whch we enjoyed exploring. Will even offered to show us around. Will's recommendation of Spiaggia Pozzelli and were not disappointed. Early morning swims in the crystal clear waters were so therapeutic. We returned to the pool in the afternoon and back to the beach for an evening swim when the beach was quieter. The weather was unseasonably hot so our grand plans of touring local villages didn't materialise but it was no hardship spending days by the pool relaxing, picking grapes, lemons and figs from the trees surrounding it.

Just wonderful

This was a heavenly break with teenagers. Wi-fi, pool, roof terrace and their own bathrooms. Kids happy equals parents happy. Ostuni is beautiful. And Will was a fantastic host, being on hand to help or guide. Throughly recommend!
