“The room air felt a bit mouldy and the bathroom was unclean - we tried to use the air purifier but even that was so dusty and not clean. Bed sheets were crumpled up and not set nicely. Owner was very responsive though ”

“Great location and appartment. easy parking, host instructions clear. Kitchen and bathroom great. We had a very enjoyable time. Couch in lounge toon far too small needs an upgrade. Chairs bit flimsy. Mat on lounge floor pilled a lot did not match quality of rest of unit. Nowhere to put suitcases and it would be great to have a wet area etc for skis - considering it is close to Cardrona. ”

“We had a wonderful stay. The location is fantastic, far enough from the city, making it quiet and peaceful at night. But close enough for just a short drive to the supermarkets. We even saw yellow eyed penguins on a beach less than 15min away from here. Beautiful view on the ocean from inside too! The property was very tidy and absolutely spotless, with modern interior and nice decorations. The next time we go to Dunedin, we are hoping that we can stay here again :)”

“I had a lovely albeit short stay at Hawkdun Rise. Suzanne and John are wonderful hosts who make you feel at home. The interior could be slightly more modern for my personal taste but everything was very clean and well kept. And you can tell that the owners put a lot of thought into creating a space in which their guests can feel comfortable and welcome. Need to try their Gewürztraminer! ”

“只是一般的民宿，不知高評價從何而來？或許是照片拍的漂亮吧！室內動線極差，廚房還要到另一間，兩邊又是其他房間，很沒安全感。所謂的湖景，跟本沒辦法看，因為房間在一樓，又是大落地門，窗簾一拉開，內外都直接透視，你想看湖景，其他人都看得到你在幹嘛！離市區有一段路，走路遠，開車近，不方便。”

“這酒店對正湖邊，景色一流，我入住的第一晚還看到了南極光。 這酒店有倘大的共用客廳，㕑房又大，用具超級齊全。 這酒店來往市中心可以乘巴士，只5分鐘，很方便。 不過，來這酒店，如非自駕，則要行三段很斜的斜路，帶着行李上落並不方便。但其湖景和極光位置或可予以彌補。”
