"The white cottage is beautiful and larger than I expected (the photo of the living room doesn't do it justice). The location is great with the amazing Clachan Sands nearby. The house has been cared for, there's a 4 poster bed (a very large duvet) and a power shower, what more do a couple need for a week away.A super cottage that I definitely recommend"

"What a delightful place to stay in the charming town of Stornoway! Just a block off of the harbor on a quiet street. We stayed in the adjacent location which had a full kitchen and all necessary amenities, as well as a large television. "We stayed in Kettle Cottage in late June 2026. The cottage is superb. Every detail has been thought about. All the furniture, bedding, linens and equipment is all very good quality. Decoration is first class with everything carefully coordinated. The place is warm and cosy with electric heating throughout plus a peat fire if you wish for it.The coastal headland location is as good as it gets.Communication with our host through the Verbo app was quickly and helpfully responded to.Excellent throughout, I wouldn't hesitate to return."

Brae Lea Guest House

Brae Lea Guest House

10/10 Excellent
"Brae Lea is far more than one would expect. The location is a short walk to the Ferry Terminal at Lochboisdale - yet driving from the north, you feel as if you’re nestled in the foothills of a mountain (because you are). Rupert is an outstanding host, and he doubles as a 5-Star concierge. He helped us sort travel and touring arrangements as well as made breakfast and suggested dinner options. The Brae Lea accommodations are also top drawer. Clean - efficient - spacious - inviting. Full marks - on every count."
