Older style motel, but has been modernized and kept up. For the price and location to downtown and food would definitely recommend.

Staff was friendly. Could see light through the bottom of the door. If u sat on the toilet ot would rock back and forward. They floor was squishy in several places . Paint peeling in bathroom and room. The bathub facets were broke. We could hear conversations in the next room. Wouldnt stay again. Needs some serious TLC

Needed a place to stay for one evening that was reasonably priced and clean. This place definitely fit the bill. If you are looking for a place to stay while visiting and just need a place to sleep, then look no further!

Thin walls. Rude tenants were loudly yelling and playing TV all night. Low quality people stay here. Room is OK. Shower needs to be fixed or updated.

This was a nice motel stay. Rooms are clean and dont have that moldy , smoky smell. They are very clean and highly hygenic. Conveniently, stores were nearby and we enjoyed a family breakfast right at Bob Evans in walking distance.

Decent motel for the price. Staff was friendly and helpful and room was clean. Materials used for the remodel are nice but appear to be not properly installed. Shower and toilet fixtures were all loose, wallpaper already peeling, flooring bubbling and water damage painted over. At this point all cosmetic issues but could see them turning into problems in the near future.

Little Gem in Oxford
After staying at other big hotels in Oxford that were ok, we were impressed with our stay at the Butler Inn. We initially arrived early and was given a standard room since it was available, however, we noticed a big difference between standard and the premium room we paid for, especially in the bathroom. We opted to wait for a premium room to be cleaned and enjoyed a clean and comfortable room for our 3 nights stay. There are no frills like breakfast (Bob Evans just down the road), and the ceiling above our shower needed cosmetic repair, but it was easy to park, quiet even though next to the road, and when we asked if there was an ice machine.. a whole bag of ice appeared at our door. The check in and cleaning staff were very nice and helpful. We would stay here again.

I have stayed at almost every hotel in Oxford. They are ridiculously overpriced, outdated chain hotels you would find off a major highway and all charge a fortune - min $300/night taxes I stayed at Butler Inn for the first time dropping off my son for his senior year and was sooo pleasantly surprised. It’s clear the rooms are newly renovated - they are modern and super clean. I understands Butler Inn takes pets although I didn’t bring mine. I checked in very late and the front desk could not be nicer. It is located a short, 3-min drive from High Street on the main road that leads out to the Walmart. I wish I had known about this gem sooner! My only word of caution is be careful leaving the room - the step down is a big one and unexpected.
