Fabulous stay again
The bungalow was clean and comfortable. Perfect for my family which included a baby and toddler. The property, although basic, had everything you need for a week away. It really was excellent value for money. The owner was amazingly helpful and communicated with us quickly. We loved having the surrounding garden and off street parking. This was our second visit and we will certainly be returning. Thank you.

We had a lovely holiday even with the rain. The host is extremely helpful and kind. Spacious property and as others have said before everything you need to enjoy your holiday. Close to Padstow delicious pasties, not too far to Newquay (Can recommend Lazy Jacks soft play).Trevone beach 10 minute walk

Lovely break
Some friends and I stayed a couple of nights, had a lovely chilled time. The property has everything you need. The beach is just down the road and we benifitted from it being a sunny day. Padstow is about a ten minute drive and there is also a bus stop at the end of the pane and goes straight into Padstow. Will certainly return

Relaxing holiday
We had a lovely stay at Hill Rise. Its a spacious property with a wrap around garden. Lots of great walks from the door and nice beaches within walking distance or a short drive. Pete the host is very friendly and helpful and we have returned home very relaxed.

Lovely house and setting
We had a lovely stay in Hill Rise despite the Cornish weather having a dampening effect! The house is comfortable and well equipped and well laid out with outside space for when the sun shines. Close to the wonderful beach.

Relaxing & fun holiday
The property is very spacious so plenty of room for us as a family with teens/young adults. Everything we needed was readily available & a really good base for places such as Padstow .A short walk to the sea & swimming/body boarding great fun especially in the evenings with the sunset. Brilliant walks straight from the property for example a walk to Harlyn Bay. Pete is excellent with communication & makes it all very straight forward.

Beautiful week by the sea.
Homely, clean and cofortable house a 10min stroll to the sea. Everything you need to enjoy your stay. Super comfy beds so a great nights sleep for us all. Excellent communication with the owner prior to arrival. We stayed with a family of 5 and had plenty of room. A short stroll to the beach, beach pool or coastal path. Lovely friendly pub down the lane for dinner and drinks. Great farm shop and surf shop with excellent pizza right at the beach.

Sehr schönes gemütliches Haus. Aufgrund der Lage ist ein Auto allerdings notwendig. Sehr gute Ausstattung, lediglich die Couch müsste mal ausgetauscht werden. "Beauty Fans" sollten allerdings bedenken, dass Bad und Toilette getrennt sind. Objekt hervorragend geeignet für Wander- und Strandurlaube. Hervorragendes Preis /Leistungsverhältnis, guter Kontakt mit Peter. Alles in allem haben wir uns sehr wohl gefühlt

A relaxing week.
Hill Rose is a clean and comfortable chalet bungalow situated in a quiet location with sea views. There are plenty of walks you can do from the property to explore the wonderful countryside. The host, Peter, was very helpful and we would be happy to return.

Beautiful location!
We had a wonderful week at Trevone. The house was perfect for our needs, practical and spacious with everything you could need for a weeks self catering. The house is a little dated in places but functional, and the shower over the bath works well and is quite powerful, with constant hot water. The only thing we would have liked was a dryer, or more pegs for the line outside. We managed the walk down to the beach and back without a problem, with 2 kids in tow. Trevone beach, and the cafe/bar/shop on the beach is first class. Would highly recommend.

Hill Rise is just lovely. It was spacious, light and had room for everyone and everything we had brought with us….which was quite a lot! Perfect location and extremely peaceful. Easy walk to the beach and the coastal path. Would love to visit again.

Amazing house.
The owner Pete was incredibly helpful and efficient. Communication from the beginning to the end of our stay was second to none. The property is situated in a very quiet cul de sac in the beautiful village of Trevone. For two of us the house was just what we needed with plenty of space and everything we needed for a pleasant stay. Easy access to the beach and wonderful coastal paths to explore this lovely area. I have been visiting this part of Cornwall every year since I was four years old and never tire of coming here 50 years on. Many thanks to Pete for a fantastic stay in your home.

Great location, super quiet yet close to beach
We loved this property for it's location: 10 minutes walk to the beach and beach cafe, 5 minutes from the best farm shop ever and yet it was very peaceful. Simply furnished and quite plain yet just about all we needed and we would love to return to Hill Rise, Trevone. Also, best sunsets viewed from the upstairs bedroom.

Quiet, spacious and light.
The property is in a very quiet residential area, with a good sized garden. Driveway area with space for three cars but has a narrow entrance so could be a bit tricky. Property is spacious, nice a light and views over the bungalows opposite of the sea, best seen from the upstairs double bedroom. We watched some lovely sunsets over the sea even from the lounge. With four of us staying at the property we found only having one bathroom and especially just one toilet (separate from the bathroom) was a bit of a problem, for that reason I would not want to stay there in a party of six. The stairs to the one upstairs bedroom are rather narrow and steep so care needed especially if needing that downstairs bathroom in the night. The beach is about a ten minute downhill walk away, a bit longer walking back uphill. in Trevone there is a nice beach cafe, a small farm shop (quite limited stock and basics sold out quickly) and a hotel/inn that serves good basic meals, all these venues are roughly 10mins walk away. (Downhill along a narrow road) Walks along the coast path to Harlyn Bay and Trevose Head are fairly flat and easy, walk along the coast path to Padstow more of a challenge as several steep uphill sections but a nice walk. Walks along the road not recommended as roads can are narrow with no footpaths and can be busy (quite usual for Cornwall). The no.56 bus stops in Windmill which is at the top of Trevone Road, this bus runs approx every 90 mins to Padstow (10 mins journey) and Newquay. Check bus timetable for accuracy in this. Overall I really liked the house, location and general area. I would stay again but probably not with more than three people in this house (Hillside) due to the bathroom situation.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Our granddaughter (9months) thoroughly enjoyed having full access with her baby walker! Very quiet area with sea views from top bedroom. The bungalow accommodated the whole family of 6 adults and a baby very well although another toilet would have been useful! The property is very basic but has everything you need and the beach is just a 10 minute walk down the hill.

Comfortable stay
This is a very comfortable and roomy property. It’s nice and bright and welcoming. We usually stay right by the beach and I wondered how my grandchildren would cope with the walk back up the hill, but there was no problem at all for them or us two pensioners! We all had a fabulous time and would be happy to return. Property owner’s ‘phone call just before our visit was most helpful and informative.

Despite awful weather we loved staying here. So much, in fact, that we’ve already booked for next year! The house is larger than it seems in the pictures. A little dated in places but incredibly clean and well looked after. Very good in particular for small children.

Mit großer Dankbarkeit und voll schöner Erinnerungen sind wir nach 14 herrlich erholsamen Tagen wieder abgereist. Great Location
Pete was brilliant and phoned a couple of days before with all the details and suggestions of where to go and where's good to eat, fantastic service . Lovely property, very clean and tidy and everything you need for a home from home feeling, close to the coast that you can walk there, great walks along the coast or across the fields into Padstow and Trevose Head, amazing farm shop across the fields. Really had a relaxing and fantastic time.
