My family and I stayed here for a getaway, and unfortunately, it was by far the worst vacation rental experience we’ve had. The host called at 8 PM asking if we had arrived. When we got there, a car was parked in the bushes, which made us feel uneasy. Within 10 minutes of entering the home, we heard arguing outside. Then, after 10 PM, the host knocked on the door unannounced, requesting we sign a paper waiver, list all family members, and review house rules. She also began questioning our intentions, including whether we planned to have a fire. It felt invasive and entirely unnecessary at that hour.The back door didn’t properly lock—it only had a chain at the top, which still allowed it to open a visible gap. The home had visible dust, spider webs, heavy mold in the coffee pot, and stained blankets. The upstairs AC panel was locked at 73, which was not disclosed. There was also an outside security camera that was not disclosed as well.The listing claimed 4 bedrooms, but there were only 3 true bedrooms—two connected—and the extra space was not private. The “many acres” were completely overgrown and unusable. Furniture was outdated, and gave the home a neglected, tired feel.Other guests have raised many of these same concerns, which unfortunately we overlooked and the host’s responses were combative, snarky and unprofessional. We came for a peaceful and private stay, but instead experienced late-night confrontation, privacy violations & safety concerns. Do NOT recommend.
