We had a great time for our Fall Break. 2nd year in row staying at Splash Resort. This unit was awesome. James the owner was super responsive and accommodating. Having the chairs and umbrella included made it even easier to enjoy the beach!! Unit was very clean and well kept. The master bathroom shower is reason enough to book this unit again. We really enjoy the nachos supreme from Rip Tides at the pool area. We will be back at least one more time.

Overall, this was a nice condo. The kitchen was not up to my standards. Cookware could stand to be replaced. The non-stick was no longer non-stick, and hardly any cooking utensils. I did read some reviews where people stated this and I thought to myself, “surely not”. But it was very much true. I would stay here again, but would definitely bring a couple of my own pans and a few cooking utensils. The mattress in the master bedroom was very firm and uncomfortable, especially for a person like my wife who suffers with back issues. We also had an issue when we got back from dinner and one of the wall decorations had fallen off. It had been hung with command strips but they were no longer very sticky. The place was very clean and a great location, just had a few inconveniences.

Great location. Great view. Resort has Great amenities for the children. However, Upon entering the condo it smelled very musky/moldy. The vents in the living room/kitchen is growing literal mold. James said this is due to the high temperatures in Florida, his cleaner brought out air freshener for the smell. Condo was not cleaned well, had to completely reclean the whole unit before bringing in out things and settling in. Previous guest things were left in the drawer in the bathroom. Couch is stained badly to the point of being covered with a blanket instead of being cleaned or replaced, outdoor furniture cushions are stained, master bed is extremely squeaky and hard. The condo has potential just needs some tlc. The mold alone can not be good for one’s health. And the hefty cleaning fee you have to pay to arrive and have to clean and then make sure it’s cleaned per there policies before check out I would reconsider this condo. Disappointed is an understatement, however we did make the best of our vacation and was only in the room to sleep. If you wish to use the kitchen it was stocked well just not very clean and we were left a generous amount of towels.

Just what we needed

We went to Disney World before ending our vacation at the Slpash. The view and the condo was perfect for us. Our host was very attentive when answering questions. I will definitely rent again.

Fun water park

The manager allowed us to check in a little early which was amazing! The entire facility was very clean and well kept. Staff were friendly and helpful. The condo was very nice. Exactly what we needed for a quick “getaway”

Pros and cons

Overall great place! Updated and clean. I could list so many pros about this listing. Balconies for all units had an amazing view, and the pools were fabulous. Few downsides that were enough to mention and cause us to pause on renting again. Sheets are old microfiber with little balls all over them from being washed with towels. They were thin and hot!! Cotton sheets are much better for the sticky climate. The second set of shhets i found smelled, so we were stuck with the old ones. Pillows have not been changed in a very long time. They are hard and very thin! New pillows don't have to be expensive, but something with substance would have made my sleep easier. Both of those factors were bad for my sleep. Not enough comfortable seeting for 4 people in the living area. Sliding through other listings i saw more seating. The room can definitely accomidate more seating. We hope these things can be remedied. We would love to go back!!

I'm going to list the pros and cons of our stay. I will say this was probably our least favorite condo and we've been coming to splash for 6 years now. Pros: -All beds were comfortable, I will say the master was VERY firm but we liked it. -View from the 4th floor was amazing! ( We typically only rent on the higher levels.) -patio had plenty of seating -TV was nice in both rooms. -kitchen was equipped with all pots pans and utensils. -washer and dryer look small but does some serious work. -being on the fourth floor we typically didn't have to wait for the elevator. We were able to take the stairs up and down. Cons: -The unit smelled of musty mold heavily. -The floors were sticky and turned our socks black. -no starter toiletries in the master. (We drove 15 hours to be there. Was ready to shower and had to use hand soap on our body. We weren't picking up groceries until the next morning.) -decorations for the master we're all in the closet.🤔 -needs some updating lots of paint peeling and gashes and loose cabinetry. -Keurig had mold in the water tank. -The sofa had brown stains on it. Not inviting to sit on. On the second day we ended up buying cleaning supplies and air freshener. The floors seem to be a lost cause no matter how many times we scrubbed it was still coming up black. I don't think it's the host fault I think it's his cleaning crew. I believe I have rented from him before and that unit was beautiful.

Great place to stay

Very clean and nice property to stay at. Not too crowded in the offseason. Our 4 yr old loved the water park. Only recommendation is better pillows and mattress. But that wouldn't deter us from booking this rental again!

Enjoyable

Thank you for allowing us to stay at your property. The only thing that was negative was the double red flags and traffic. The kids loved the water park and the pools. The atmosphere was very kid and family friendly. We can’t wait to go back.
