7. Padimas Villa @Datai Valley

Langkawi

"Padimas provides very nice, comfortable houses for rent at the north end of Langkawi Island. This is a perfect place to stay if you want to relax and get some peace and quiet, as it's away from everything. The flipside of this is that you'll have to drive to get anywhere. In terms of service, they are very helpful about providing anything you need. Make sure to contact the owner and let him know what time you'll arrive."

Top Pantai Tengah Hotel Reviews

The Bayou Hotel Langkawi

10/10 Excellent

"Nice place, nice pool, good breakfast. Kind staff."

Pelangi Beach Resort & Spa, Langkawi

10/10 Excellent

"Loved our stay. We had a big beautiful room, with a gorgeous lake view and balcony! The bathroom was also very clean and spacious, with bath and shower. The food at Pelangi, especially breakfast, was great! The pools were clean and well maintained, enjoyed spending time in pool and poolside, and good for my baby too Buggy service was very useful and a great service! Had the best trip at Pelangi!"

Ambong Rainforest Retreat

10/10 Excellent

"When we arrived at Ambong - we were completely lost for words, the view, the attention to detail and the overall warmth and service from the team were better than 10/10. We’ve stayed all over LANGKAWI across different 5* hotels and Ambong wins hands down for the service and cleanliness of the rooms. In particular, we want to thank Nizal and Shaffy for coming to drive us up to our room and always with a smile! The breakfast and restaurant are amazing. Great quality and extensive! We had the meat breakfast at Rimba (Ambong Pool Villas restaurant) which has incredible views over the water and is perfect for sunset dinner and drinks but also really loved the vegan breakfast at the rainforest restaurant … maybe even MORE! (Thank you Nizal for the recommendation). The dusky monkeys are such a wonderful treat, waking up and watching them from our bedroom window was so special. The room was always made up perfectly, and their turndown service was really appreciated as they made the room perfect to retreat to after a long day of exploring the island. A few practical bits to note - the pool area is quite shaded due to the rainforest around which is perfect in the heat, but it could have been spruced up a little in the morning. The room was very high up into the mountain which was perfect for the views, but it does mean you must rely on their shuttle service - although we enjoyed a few walks up and down for our health!"

The RIYAZ Lavanya Langkawi

8/10 Good

"Had 2 bed apartment which was huge, kitchen is better than most apartments have in the UK! Downside was facing the noisy building work which starts early in the morning and goes on till late evening. Another hotel is being built which does obscure the view to the sea. This will most likely go on for at least another year as hotel being built. Breakfast is a let down, if you go nearer the end, nothing is replaced. One day we had to queue for 30 mins for a table for which they are short. Wifi in hotel is hit and miss. Not enough sunbeds and only 3 umbrellas! At least pool is open till 10pm. Not sure why they require room numbers to get a towel. Overall a decent value for money hotel, however definitely not 5 star. Best in the area and modern. Good location"

Ambong Pool Villas

10/10 Excellent

"We spent 3 nights at Ambong Villas, and it was the best 3 nights, the room was really amazing, very clean and the views were insane! The staff were really friendly, and welcoming, they made it feel like home. The whole process from check-in till check-out was so smooth, even during our stay the staff helped us with recommendations to go try different beaches activities and restaurants which were really nice! I highly recommend this place. It is really special to us now and we will come back for sure InshAllah."
