“Ivi Mare markets itself as a luxury resort, but the reality falls well short of that promise. Check-in was slow and poorly managed. After completing forms with our personal details, we were left waiting with little communication before finally being shown to our room. The room itself felt small and standard rather than five-star. The toilet seat was badly stained and smelled unpleasant, creating an odour in the room. Housekeeping replaced it promptly when notified, but it should never have……

“Staff were friendly, always smiling, informative and very welcoming. Rooms was very clean and private pool with jacuzzi feature was absolutely fantastic. There was a choice of restaurants and buffet had a wide selection of fresh, delicious variety of food to choose. Entertainment was great. Bus stop short distance to The Harbour. Complimentary room was offered and greatly appreciated for us to use before our transfer to the airport. Would visit again and all the family would highly recommend……

“This was our third stay in as many years and things have definitely slipped, I’m afraid to say. Food: the biggest disappointment. Undoubtedly to cut costs, the options have slimmed down. Forget salmon at breakfast and don’t get me started on the Greek salad where they seem to have forgotten two key ingredients (olives and onion would you believe it?) It shouldn’t be the case that any of the local restaurants do a better burger than a ‘boutique hotel’ but they do. Have the ‘smashed Angus……

“The place was very noisy upstairs neighbours moving chairs until after midnight no reception to complain as they close at 4 pm, one of the beds had dirty sheets as if someone sleep and they just made the bed, there were bed bugs or fleas in the Sofa as we sit there for 10 min and had several bug bites on legs arms and back... I do not recommend for people with an allergy to insect bites as I have”

“I checked in pretty late and the front desk was very warm and welcoming. I think it was Mrs Elli. So sweet and kind. Someone helped me get my bags thru the long path to my room. The next morning I was able to leave luggage at the front with well attended staff, felt very safe leaving my things while I finished exploring the town. Leonidas was kind enough to give several local recommendations and ideas for my next time in town. 10/10 recommend this hotel. Everyone was fantastic!”

“Nice pleasant apartment just off Paphos harbour and 2 mins walk from the promenade. Comfortable double bed, good kitchen amenities and a nice balcony where you could glimpse the sea if peering over the side. Only gripe would be that the balcony furniture wasn’t very comfortable and I had some issues with the blind and door onto the balcony, very stiff. Good place for a few days in Paphos although you might want to consider somehwere slightly more tucked away if looking for peace and quiet as……
