NEW FOR 2022 SEASON - WE HAVE HIGH SPEED INTERNET - FREE. We are listing our cabin for weekly rentals. Just purchased in the fall of 2016, the interior and exterior were recently remodeled. The 2 bedroom 600 square foot cabin is located just 8 miles north of beautiful Park Rapids, MN on Pickerel Lake. The newly updated cabin has 2 bedrooms, 1 bath and a screen porch. Pickerel Lake is approximately 300 acres in size with a public access located across the lake from the cabin. Pickerel Lake is known for catching abundant pan fish, Largemouth Bass, Northern Pike and some Walleye. There is a dock and boat lift for your fishing boat. Enjoy watching the loons that frequent the bay near the dock. There is a fire pit with a grill top and also a charcoal grill. When you’re not enjoying fishing, swimming and sunbathing, head over to Dorset (5 minute drive) for dinner at the famous Companeros Mexican Restaurant, The Dorset House or La Pasta Italian Eatery. The town of Park Rapids offers shopping, coffee shops, cafes and restaurants. Zorbaz Restaurant is also located within a 10 minute drive. Itasca State Park is located within a 25 minute drive and offers biking, hiking and an on site restaurant. There is also an extensive ATV trail system if you want to bring your ATV. The Heartland bike trail is just minutes from the cabin. Your perfect summer getaway! New lake side deck added in 2020. Sorry due to our insurance and renters with allergies we can not accommodate pets (unless registered service dog by law).

Beautiful little spot!
A perfect place to relax. Easy access to the amenities of Park Rapids and Itasca State Park. Caught my biggest lifetime bass right off the dock. You can't go wrong with this cabin for a fun weekend!

Great location! We fished 3 different lakes and all were within a half-hour drive. You could hear a pin drop at night! When we go back this will be our place to stay.

Wonderful cabin on Lake Pickerel
The cabin was neat and clean and well stocked. Check listing for what to bring. Lake access is sandy and clear making it easy to use our kayaks. Loved the screened porch and two deck areas. Made outside time very relaxing. Parking is more than adequate. Had a great time in nearby Park Rapids. This cabin is on our "Come Again" list!

Great weekend retreat!
We stayed here for a fall weekend and it was located perfectly between Lake George and Park Rapids. Nice cabin! Everything was as advertised and only complaint would be bringing dish and hand soap...and the main queen bed is super comfy, but its very noisy! 3rd world problems I suppose, but literally the squeakiest bed. Adjusting during sleep it's like the bed is screaming from giving birth lol! We'd stay here again for sure though! Great location, great cabin!

Perfect home base to enjoy the Heartland bike trail. Everything was as advertised and clean. The reason for the 4 stars overall vs 5 was that towels and paper products were not provided so that was a little bit of a hassle, but would not prevent me from staying here again.

The cabin was very clean, a little smaller than I was expecting, but we didn’t spend very much time inside. The lake was great for fishing, weedy, so not the best for swimming, but that might not bother some people. Bathroom is super small and hard for people of height to shower, but we made do.. ha! :) our kids loved the fishing and I loved the hammock and sitting on the deck overlooking the lake with my morning coffee. Overall, it was a great getaway! The only note I would add, is that the listing should state there are NO towels of any kind, hand soap, dish soap, garbage bags or zip lock bags provided.. I do think it would have made a difference in booking only because it’s just more stuff to haul along, not a super big deal but it ended up an issue for us because VRBO failed to send us the email stating that and along with a list of items to bring along.. so we showed up without any of those items… the owner felt bad and was very nice but we ended up having to spend our first evening there running to get all those items.. it ended up working out just fine, thankful for Emmaville Cafe owner, who borrowed us those items to use! So just a heads up! Thank you for opening ur cabin to my family and for a great time away! You have a little piece of heaven on earth!

Listing was accurate, such a cute cabin! Kids had fun fishing off the dock and swimming with the school of fish that hung out there. Caught some sunnies and bass right off the dock. Public water access was very small; we decided not to unload our pontoon but found plenty to keep us busy.

Overall, the cabin was perfect for our summer getaway. The setting is beautiful! The cabin was neat and clean and we loved the screened in porch! Only complaint would be all the goose droppings we tiptoed through in the yard.

We Loved Our Stay!
Our family of 4 had a wonderful time at the cabin. The property was super clean. Communication with the hosts was quick and effective. My kids caught countless fish right from the dock. The location was quiet and relaxing and truly made for a peaceful getaway. It's close to Itasca State Park, where we hiked and boated. It's about 40 minutes from Bemidji, and only 15 minutes from Park Rapids which has everything you need as far as groceries, gas, entertainment and shopping (if needed.) I would recommend this cabin and would definitely stay here again! One thing to note: As a family of 4, there wasn't enough hot water at a time to take more than 1 (maybe two, if super, super short) shower at a time. A mild inconvenience, and definitely not a deal breaker, but wanted to mention that for other families—showers need to be spread out if you want a hot one!

Perfect for 2 people! Everything you need for an enjoyable stay! Adorable cottage very cute! Lake is small enough for a nice canoe paddle which we brought along. No worries about large boats on the water! Caught fish right off the dock. Owner is very prompt with questions. Perfect location to Park Rapids and Itasca State park. Would definitely return!
