「The home is on a finger of Claytor Lake, which was quiet and out of the wind. It is eclectic with kitchen on bottom level and living room area on the second level. You can access both levels independently from the driveway. Overall, comfortable for our needs given the weather wasn't great but we were in town for graduation.」

「No wifi and cell service is very spotty as one would expect. Not a criticism, just an observation. There are a good deal of steps to deal with so beware if you have mobility issues. The lake itself is a walk away, no direct views from the house. The rear deck needs some TLC.」

「We stayed for four nights over a long weekend with four kids (ages 11-18) and three adults, including my older mom with mobility challenges. It was comfortable and lovely. We were even able to drive my mom around the back of the house close to the lake so she didn't have to walk. We also visited Virginia Tech, which was an easy 40-minute drive. Would definitely stay here again.」

「Great yurt with all the comforts of home. I stay in a look pf vacation rentals and this one is very well equipped! They have everything you could need from a long nose lighter for camp fires to bug spray. There were even snacks waiting for us, stuff to make s'mores and treats for my pup. These people know how to run a rental and it shows with their attention to detail. We loved the hike down to the creek (hike up is a workout with 200ft of gain over .25 miles) and our dog loved all the wide open...
