Summary:

Set in the heart of Patras in the old town, this fully equipped accommodation is just 5km from the beach and 500m from the renowned Saint Nicholas Stairs.

Cafés, restaurants, supermarkets, and shops are all within walking distance, as well as major sights like the Patras Castle and the Roman Odeon (450m). With a bright, welcoming interior, it provides a comfortable base for exploring both the city and the coast. Free WiFi, a smart TV, and air-conditioning for a comfortable stay.



The Space:

The accommodation is located on the upper floor and has a bright, welcoming feel throughout. The living room is spacious and naturally lit, with direct access to the balcony. It’s simply and tastefully furnished, including a comfortable sofa bed that can accommodate a guest.



The kitchen is fully equipped and easy to use, whether you’re preparing a quick breakfast or cooking a full meal. Next to it, the dining area offers a comfortable spot to sit and enjoy your meals.

The Neighborhood:

The accommodation is centrally located, just a short drive from the beach and within walking distance of the city’s most notable landmarks. Set in the old town, the apartment is close to cafés, restaurants, supermarkets, and shops, for your daily needs. The marina and the port are nearby as well, offering pleasant waterfront walks and sea views.



A short walk brings you to the Patras Castle (450m), a medieval fortress with panoramic views of the city and the sea. Nearby is the Roman Odeon (450m), an ancient open-air theatre that still hosts concerts and cultural events. King George I Square (600m) is another lively spot with neoclassical buildings, cafés, restaurants, and the well-known Apollon Theatre, one of the oldest opera houses in Greece, dating back to the early 20th century.



Patras’ coastline is also easy to reach, with several beaches nearby such as Agyia (5km), Kastelokampos (6.5km), and Rio Beach (7.5km). They’re ideal for swimming, relaxing, or enjoying the sea views.



Other notable attractions include the Cathedral of Agios Andreas (1.5km), the Archaeological Museum of Patras (2.5km) with impressive mosaics and ancient artifacts and the historic Achaia Clauss Winery (8.5km), famous for its Mavrodaphne wine and traditional cellars. The Rio-Antirrio Bridge (9.5km) is also worth a visit for its modern architecture and sweeping views the Gulf of Corinth. The lively Psila Alonia area (750m) is also close, known for its cafés, bars, and lively atmosphere.



Patras hosts one of Europe’s largest carnivals each year, filling the city with parades, music, and celebrations. Delight in the colorful costumes, the fireworks, witness the burning down of the Carnival King, and immerse yourself in the festive atmosphere.



For quieter moments, Dasylio Patras (850m), South Park (2.3km), and the Elos tis Agyias wetland (5km) offer peaceful green spaces and walking paths.



Patras also makes a great base for day trips, with destinations such as Nafpaktos (22km), known for its Venetian harbor and castle, and Kalavryta (74km), a mountain town offering historic monasteries and the scenic Odontotos Rack Railway.

By Air: Araxos Airport (GPA) is the nearest airport, located about 42km from the city.

By Train: Regular services operate from Athens and other major cities. The Patras train station is centrally located, just 750m from the accommodation.

By Bus: KTEL buses connect Patras with Athens and many regions of Greece. The bus station is only 800m away.

By Ferry: Patras is a major port with routes to Greece and Italy. The port is about 1km from the accommodation.

By Car: Patras is easily accessible by road, offering a flexible way to explore both the city and surrounding areas.

Lovely little home in the hillside neighborhoods of Patra. Short walks to pretty much everything in the city below, just be prepared for short walks uphill. The hosts are great with communicating. Would definitely recommend.
