Villa Maritsa is an extremely comfortable three-bedroom villa with spacious terraces, lovely sea views and a large private pool. It is situated in a central yet quiet location within easy walking distance of the small villages of Fontana and Magazia, and only a few minutes’ drive from some of the best beaches on Paxos. It is in a very good area for walkers.

Villa Maritsa is a very attractive traditional country house that has been completely renovated to provide all modern conveniences and comfort, while retaining many of its traditional features. On the ground floor there is a bright open-plan lounge/dining area with comfortable furnishings and a lovely traditional stone fireplace, together with a very well-equipped open kitchen. There is also a large bathroom with shower.

On the upper floor there are three light and airy bedrooms (two twins and a double), all with air-conditioning. Both twin bedrooms have French windows that open on to a large roof terrace with lovely views across the olive groves to the sea and the mountains of Epirus on the Greek mainland. There are also 2 bathrooms. A large one with shower and a en suite one with shower .

The large swimming pool (11m x 5m) is surrounded by extensive terraces, well-planted gardens and mature olive trees that provide a high degree of shade and privacy, while still affording good sea views. There are sunbeds, furniture for al fresco dining and a built-in barbecue, and the villa also has a private parking area.

Although a hire car is recommended in order to take full advantage of the many wonderful beaches on Paxos, it is not essential, as both Fontana and Magazia are within easy walking distance and offer a choice of excellent tavernas, traditional kafenia, bakeries and mini-markets. The local bus, which links Gaios, Loggos and Lakka several times a day, also stops just a short distance from the villa. Several walks to the dramatic west coast start from Magazia and there are many walks around Fontana, making it an ideal location for walkers.
