Very comfortable and well cared for. Spiral staircase to large upstairs bedroom. Wood floors shining. Property is on a dirt road which is a bit rough but also, no traffic past the lodge and a good place for a walk. Though we brought our own food, there was a lovely plate of apple cake,cookies and loaf of homemade bread waiting for on arrival that we enjoyed. A nice touch. Only negative was limited silverware and a sauce pan would be nice. Overall, an enjoyable stay. No tv or internet but I used hotspot from iPhone to use iPad. No problems.

Carol - It is wonderful to know you enjoyed your stay. We also have the Victorian Loft Bed & Breakfast in Clearfield and love to share some of the homemade baked goods. served there with our cabin guests. We provide a quite a variety of cooking pans but will check to see if something is missing and replace. I have placed more silverware in the cabin. Although a short drive into Benezette the peaceful quiet of the area and Beauty of the cabin was All worth it. The pictures you see online are Exactly how it was. Delicious muffins/bread awaited us as well. Thanks again Peggy :) We look forward to next visit

Owner very good communication. The cabin fit our needs for site seeibg rhe area. It was secluded enough to get away and enjoy the view and quiet. We had a great time and would go back again.

Did you know the 12 counties of the PA Wilds have as much wilderness as Yellowstone National Park? It is amazing when you think that it is only a few hours drive from so many major east coast cities - NYC, Philadelphia, Washington, DC, Baltimore and Toronto. I am so happy you enjoyed your stay at Cedarwood Lodge. Sitting in the living room watching the fire with our kids when they were still living at home is a very fond memory. I'm glad you enjoyed the baked goods. We like to welcome guests with a loaf of homemade bread and muffins or coffee cake to share over a cup of coffee or tea (also provided) either upon arrival or at their first morning's breakfast.
