Welcome to Ruby’s RED DOOR Retreat on Swenson Lake! This two bedroom, one bathroom cabin invites you into a quaint, Scandinavian feel to help you relax and enjoy lake life with family and friends. It’s situated on over an acre of wooded property located just 10 minutes away from Spicer and New London and 11 minutes away from Willmar. Swenson Lake is a small, quiet 108 sq. acre lake with only 2 miles of shoreline. A dock with 150 ft. of private lakeshore is ready for you to cast for northern pike, walleye and sunfish. Jump in the lake, tie up your boat or take the kayaks and paddle board around the serene lake. When winter arrives, hop on the trails with your snowmobile or do some icefishing.
Kitchen/Dining/Living rooms have amazing lake views to watch the sunset. Kitchen is fully stocked for all of your cooking and entertainment needs. Cozy up on the couch to watch a movie. Build a fire in the wood-burning stove for those chilly mornings and evenings. Play board games, cards or do a puzzle on the dining table for 4. Working remotely is perfect with Starlink Wi-Fi provided.
When night falls, come in and relax in the beautifully decorated Bedroon 1 that sleeps 2. A comfortable queen bed waits for you to have an amazing night’s sleep. Bedroom 2 has a fun theme any kid or adult would want to rest easy after a long day. The bedroom has a twin bed and a twin bunk bed which can sleep 3. The living room has sectional sleeper sofa that folds into a single bed. Ruby’s RED DOOR Retreat comfortably sleeps 6.
The bathroom is light and bright! It has towels for 6 guests and extra bathroom essentials.
Laundry room has a brand new washer and dryer for your extended stays.
The screen porch is perfect for your morning coffee, enjoying a glass of wine in the evening or simply to relax, lounge and unwind from a day on the lake.
Gather around the two fire pits with an abundance of firewood for you to use. Play yard games, relax in the hammock with the lake breeze or take a bike ride. Grill a meal on the gas grill and enjoy on the shaded picnic table.
There are several lakes, golf courses, restaurants, coffee shops, quaint shops, breweries, parks and trails to experience. Glacial Lakes State Trail, Sibley State Park and Prairie Woods Environmental Learning Center just to name a few to bike, hike, snowmobile, snowshoe and cross country ski. *Remember, this is a lake cabin. There will be bugs, spider webs, animals, tree mess and whatever comes with lake-life around the property and cabin. Come mid to late summer the lake can have some algae/mossy areas on the lakeshore. This is due to changing weather conditions. It will change from day to day. The cabin is not child-proofed. There are friendly neighbor dogs and cats who like to come and visit*
