"Great place for our overnight stay en route St Andrews! The property is on third floor and whilst it looks a bit small ( will admit we were a bit unsure) as soon as you open the door into the penthouse, it is welcoming, warm and cosy! It is bigger than we thought and had all we needed for our stay. We walked about the town and there was plenty of places to eat and 2 spars and a coop for essentials. We had a nice drink at Howard Arms (dog friendly) and then a curry take out.Kelly was responsive...

"Spent two nights and had a great time staying here. The hosts Nikki and Alan are the best. Nothing and I mean nothing is too much trouble for them. From stepping through the door they made us feel welcome. Nikki upgraded our room and changed our tv as the one in the room needed re-tuning. The food is excellent, the steak pie and fish and chips are Devine. The breakfast is certainly enough to keep you going all day! The staff Liz and Sue are so friendly. The bed was cozy and comfortable and the room nice and quiet. We will certainly recommend the Troutbeck Inn to all of our family and friends. Will we return? You can bet your life that we will! Only sorry we couldn’t have stayed longer and can’t wait to return! Thank you so much Nikki and Alan for your brilliant hospitality and to Liz and Sue xx"
