Indigo Condo

The Indigo complex is very clean, lots of amenities such as resort pool area, garage parking, walkway to the beach was new materials, not splintery wood. The condo is nicely laid out, clean but upholstered furniture in was stained and without support, needed replacing a while back.

Beautiful facility

This was the nicest facility we've stayed at in the Orange Beach area - by far. The elevator takes you right to your door, exclusively. Unit was clean and high-end. Pool facility was amazing and access to the beach couldn't be easier. There are also no facility people to "watch you" or bother you. Everyone behaved themselves in the pool area -- never a need. My only complain centered on the location. There's not a whole lot around Perdido Key. We drove to Orange Beach most every night. Not a big deal though. It was an easy drive. Parking was adequate. Elevator was quick. Fitness room nice.

The unit was clean, the pool was nice, we were right on the beach, the view from the balcony was beautiful, we did not feel the AC worked properly it was very warm in the unit throughout the week. 1) the wifi did not work all week, after several attempts to reboot the modem and checking the quest services about the proper password 2) the lights in the hall bathroom did not work properly 3) the toaster in the kitchen did not work properly, the left side of the toaster did not work at all and the right side only worked when set on 6 (High) but had to toast a couple of times at 6 to get anything toasted. 4) The bedroom on the backside/pool side of the unit was extremely hot all week even with the drapes and blinds closed 24/7 5) the icemaker in the freezer did not work. The unit made ice but could not dispense any ice from the door. You had to take out the entire box from the freezer to take ice out. 6) The larger burner on the right front of the stove did not heat up properly even on High 7) the bulb was burnt out in the table lamp in the living room next to the couch closest to the deck

Super Sad

This is our 8th trip staying in Perdido Key at Indigo. This is also the first review I am leaving. I agree with Rita's assessment 100% - I wish I had seen it before booking. When walking in - the condo appeared clean. They even sent me a text and I gave it 4 stars out of 5. Then we began to unpack. The layers of filthy dusty everywhere made me uncomfortable about what was there that I couldn't see. We wiped things down as we unpacked. The longer we were here, the more obvious the filth and neglect was. Nothing homey about this condo. For the first time it was obvious this is owned by an individual/business that never comes on their own - only rents. The couches are filthy dirty with stains and as soon as you sit - you sink to the ground. The curtains - just as bad with filthy stains and layers of dust. The walls are filthy. Patio furniture is mismatched and rusted. The kitchen - microwave is still broken so they have shoved a tiny one in the corner of the counter. The icemaker didn't work, the electrical is messed up with dining room light, the hair dryer didn't work - they did come and replace hair dryer and fix ice maker. We enjoy coming to Perdido Key and will definitely mark this unit off of our list. A sad trip for sure.

Avoid At All Costs - Nasty and Broken

This property is to be avoided until Vacasa cleans and replaces the old, tired and nasty furniture. The shower was covered with black mold when we arrived and the property manager failed to respond to any text messages. The foyer smelled like rotten fish/ wet dog. The back patio was closed with no furniture which had been crammed onto the front balcony. It was mismatched and all the cushions had been shredded. There were no lightbulbs in any of the fixtures and we had to replace bulbs. The springs were shot in the sofa and love seat and the rugs were filthy. The microwave didn’t work and the replacement microwave was dorm-sized. The cooktop only had three eyes and the oven didn’t cook on regular setting only convection. The coffee maker worked perfectly! The master bedroom’s walls were black with luggage marks and the bed frame was held together with decking screws. In any other situation we would have walked out and demanded a refund but we tried to make the best of it - I will never rent from Vacasa again.

Fabulous View, lots of space!

This is a great condo. There was plenty of space for everyone, kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed, beds were comfortable, and the view was amazing. We found the condo perfectly clean, stocked with TP/paper towels, plenty of shower towels, etc. They even had boogie boards in the closet with a blow up boat and paddles. Great location! We will definitely return and definitely use Vacasa again!

Lovely condo and beautiful views

We really enjoyed our vacation. Best compliment ... we want to come back and stay again. The window in the master bedroom was fixed during our stay. The staff at Indigo and the employees at VaCasa were very helpful and friendly. This was our first stay in Perdido Key and I look forward to coming back.

Condo layout is nice with 2 split private master suites. Main master bedroom needs help. As mentioned by previous guests, the bed is awful, you can’t sneeze without the whole bed squeaking and it’s hard. When one rolls over the whole bed moves and squeaks. The window that overlooks the beach is like looking through a milk jug. Our friends in a different condo had a crystal clear view out of theirs. We paid the same for no view and a crappy bed. Also, be ready to wake up and the crack of dawn because there are no curtains on one window. It’s time to listen to your guests and replace the uncomfortable furniture in the living room. Bring your own skillets because the one and only large skillet, everything sticks to it. This could be the perfect condo if effort was put into it. The smaller suite was nice.

Good Room

Just finished our stay in room 1103. We had a pretty good trip. The weather didnt cooperate with us much, but oh well. The room was really nice. Some of the furniture could use some updating, but honestly I'm not really a stickler on those things. The bathrooms were nice and good size. Loved that both bedrooms had kings. Was able to fit a queen blow up in our room for the kids as well. The other bedroom had a patio attached that gave a really nice view of the other side or Perdido and the bridge. Love Indigo and the set up.

Great beach access/pool

The beach access and pool were great! We did enjoy the elevator situation where we were the only ones getting on/off the elevator right at the condo door (once we figured out which one to get on.) For the price we paid (and I know it was peak season), I think the condo could use a little updating on the furniture and the mattresses were not very comfortable. There were a couple of issues that were minor and maintenance came promptly to fix what they could at the time. One reason we chose this condo was for the views from both bedrooms. The large window in the beachside room was awful and you could not even see through it. Parking was also a challenge at times but we managed. Overall it was a great week!

Perfect location

We have stayed in Indigo, (East and West) for a few years now and love the amenities! The zero-entry pool was so nice for the two year old! The beach was significantly eroded due to the storm, but I’m hoping it will be filled in soon. We were all packed on the beach very tightly, so my family went to Johnson Beach so the kids would have room to play. The king bed in the beachside room was like sleeping on plywood. I wouldn’t consider it an ocean view room because we couldn’t see out the window at all where it was so dirty. The kids loved the pull out sofa bed and the bay view bedroom was perfect. The rug in the dining room is badly rolled up in a corner and two of us tripped over it. The furniture was okay, but could use updating. They do have everything needed for cooking and eating in the kitchen, but you will have to bring dishwasher tabs, laundry detergent, paper towels and toilet paper. Overall, it was a clean place and I’m glad it was available on such short notice.
