Stone House Getaway
Such a beautiful property! I would rate it 10 stars if possible. The stone house is located in the countryside not far from Lancaster and is beautifully restored and decorated with an homage to its history. The vibe is welcoming/ and the decor inspires comfort and relaxation with calm colors, plush fabrics and pillows, and very comfy beds. Our 8 year old especially enjoyed the sleigh bed. There were multiple seating areas to allow for family gathering or individual quiet moments. The host anticipated any possible needs and surprised us with an Amish shoofly pie, chocolate moon pies. and the makings for s'moors. The property overlooks a neighboring Amish farm and contains 2 streams for exploring as well as a firepit for evening relaxation. And let's not forget the chickens! The coops were strategically placed for optimal viewing from the windows, and we had great fun watching their antics and feeding them. We were also surprised to find a dozen of their eggs in the refrigerator...had a delicious breakfast the next morning! The host, Amanda, was very responsive and provided an immediate solution when we had a date change. Our age range was 8 - 70, and we all thoroughly our stay at the stone house and hope to return again!

Perfect house!
We had such an amazing stay at your home Amanda! It was so spacious, clean and not far from town. From the moment we arrived we felt welcome with the treats and the Prosecco you left for us, and also just for the “homey” feel in the house! Thank you for everything! We would love to stay again in the future!

Wonderful experience
Amanda was such a wonderful host! We will forever appreciate that she jumped in to accomodate us after our original booking fell through at the last minute. The home is SO beautiful, SO cozy, SO spacious with wonderful common spaces including a back patio which was the perfect place to hang with friends & unwind with an adult beverage while watching the horses and cows on the neighboring farm and 2 kitchens! Most importantly we were traveling with another family and there were enough bedrooms AND bathrooms to accomodate everyone. Amanda thought of everything to make us all feel welcome and at home. In addition, she was always quick to respond if we had questions. Just an all around wonderful experience. A+++++

Amazing property!
The home is very historical and immaculately clean! The decorative touches are just perfect and the hosts are very sweet and helpful. Our Bible study group of 8 stayed and had the best time. We sat out under the covered porch in the evening and watched the lightening storm swoop across the property. The beds were all extremely comfortable. The basement family room sat us all while we played games and was just so cozy. Property is within 10 min of grocery store and the kitchen is stocked with everything imaginable. The chickens were fun to watch and benefited from our breakfast leftovers.

A Special Place
This is a beautiful, historic property in a very special part of the country. The amenities and grounds were all as described and first rate. We definitely recommend to anyone planning a stay in the area, or anyone just looking to get away from it all.

The house at Climber's Run is a historical treasure and is maintained so beautifully. We had such a wonderful time! My kids loved feeding the chickens, and getting to eat their eggs, walking through the creek and roasting marshmallows on the fire pit. The grounds and house are both absolutely stunning. We so appreciated all the toys and games for the children. The bedrooms are all tastefully decorated in a charming and cozy way. Amanda and Brandon are wonderful hostesses. This house is worth a trip from anywhere.

Beautiful country getaway
We loved our time at Climber's Run. The house was a great fit for our weekend with extended family and the outdoor space was magical for the kids. They played in the stream, visited the chickens and roasted marshmallows on the fire pit. Amanda was a wonderful host, very responsive and helpful when we had questions. We look forward to returning soon!

Beware of mosquitoes and wasps
The only suggestion that I have is to please do pest control before check in. We had an infestation of several bedrooms and this made the first night difficult. The owners did have it corrected, but we almost had to check out when seeing the bedrooms. Be prepared for wasps as we also had to kill many, not sure how they got in…. But the fire pit was great. And kitchen large.

Lovely home and host
We had a great time at the house! It’s a lovely place to just hang with family or friends. We had a group of 10 with kids and adults. There was plenty of space inside and outside. We had everything we needed and the home was well kept and clean. The shoofly pie was a hit and the kids loved seeing the chickens. We appreciated that Amanda was available if needed but was also happy to give us our space. We’ll be back again if we are in Lancaster!

Fabulous Thanksgiving
The location was a perfect half way point for various family members to meet. The house was beautiful, big, spacious, with plenty of sleeping options and plenty of room to cook and play. The host was very nice, even buying us last minute grocery items we forgot to pack. We were able to hold a full Thanksgiving meal thanks to the two fully stocked kitchens. We spent evenings out by the firepit. It was my favorite Thanksgiving ever!

This is a very unique property and Amanda is very accommodating. Great fit for the family with the multi floor layout and the number of bedrooms. We will stay here again if we are in the area.

Picturesque Farmhouse Pequea
We felt like we picked a real winner with this one - everything about it was perfect! So picturesque with it's creek, rolling hills, and beautiful trees. The home is stunning with charm throughout and the stone basement with the outside porch is incredible! Amanda and Brandon were fantastic hosts and we hope to visit again soon

Peaceful and tranquil vacation
One word describes our stay at Climbers Run. Enchanting. Take a step back in time in this historical wonderful home. Everything was perfect down to be welcomed with music, Fresh eggs, Whoopie Pies and Horseshoe Fly Pie. Very modern inside and tons of roaming room outside with two streams. Great stay with friends!
We had a great time at the house. We had 6 adults and all of our toddler aged children (2-5) . We did a day at Dutch Wonderland and the 20 min drive was perfect distance. The kids loved the stream in the back, the chickens, and the huge yard. The 2 kitchens made it great to cook and congregate wherever we were. Owner was attentive to any questions we had. Check in and check out processes and books are crystal clear! We would love to stay again if in the area.

The Comfort
I titled this The Comfort because my son and I were there for my husband's final rest. My husband passed away and he wanted to "come home" to Pa. to be buried. I needed a place that met my needs for me, son and friends to stay and this beautiful home did and beyond. In addition to the beautiful home, the surroundings were just as outstanding. Tonia was always available when I had a quick question. Our friends and family that came over to our "Celebration of Life" all noted how lovely this place is. One of our friends from Lancaster County said they think they are going to "rethink" their next destination for vacation. They said they are going to take a vacation in their home area because of the beauty they haven't seen before in the southern part of the county. All was very impressed. Thank you for all hospitality.

This was the ideal location for our family - near to Lancaster relatives, and lovely outdoor area. I especially appreciated the cleanliness of the home, and the large kitchen with a good supply of cooking utensils, etc. The fresh eggs were a delightful bonus! We could not have asked for a better location. It was exactly what we needed.

We had a wonderful time at this beautiful, spacious, clean property! We loved the creek! We loved having rooms for everyone with comfortable beds. We loved having dining space for all ten of us to sit at one table! We enjoyed every minute of our time there. Off property we enjoyed hiking, biking, ice cream at Pine View Dairy, and the ease of grocery shopping. It was always good to come home to Climbers Run. We hope we can return!

If you are looking for a quiet, beautiful, and quaint spot, look no farther. This place is it! It is definitely out of the way, but you can get back to civilization in 10-15 minutes. It is quiet (extremely quiet). It is a restored, up-to-date 1720 vintage homestead. If it wasn't for the cars parked, you could be in 'yesteryear'. It was a lovely stay! There are perks: the custodian provided sticky buns and whoopie pies - yum! Wifi / Internet access provided for those die-hards.

We had a wonderful time at The Climbers Run!! The house was well stocked and the co-host Tonya was very helpful. There was so much room for us and my grandkids. This was an exceptional VRBO experience. The house and property are both spacious and beautiful, just as advertised. The creek running through the property, the fire pit, and the fireflies are particularly nice, especially with kids. I rarely review things, but this house was exceptional. The owners did everything possible to make us feel at home, from the soft music playing in the background, the baby gates put up for us, the soaps and shampoos, etc. We did have one issue when we were there, but the owners were very responsive and took care of it asap. Thank Amanda and Brandon for sharing your home with us. We will definitely be back.

The hosts go out of their way to make this a pleasant stay. Fresh eggs (multicolored), a fresh shoo-fly pie and whoopie pies were waiting for us, and it just so happens that shoo-fly is one of my favorite pies. The house is extremely well appointed, with many homey touches. The grounds are well kept, and the streams bordering the property kept the grandsons busy for hours on end. Why they wanted to wade barefoot when there was ice on part of the stream is beyond me, but that's another story. There was even a basket of 'smores ingredients provided for us, and wood for a bonfire. All in all, a great weekend at a great place, and absolutely nothing was amiss.

Amazing house and hosts
We had a wonderful stay with our friends and kids. The house is amazing and Amanda is a fantastic host. She made sure we had everything we needed, down to fresh eggs, and a delicious pie! There is plenty of hiking in the area, and the property itself is perfect for families, with a creek, large yard, and fire pit. I would absolutely recommend this place for a relaxing stay in the country.

Three W's: Warm - Welcoming - We'll be back!
Climbers Run was a beautiful home and perfect for our group of ten adults. Amanda and Brandon thought of every detail and there wasn't a single glitch or problem in our three-day (leisure) visit. Everyone in the group was so appreciative of Amanda and Brandon's hospitality and we're already discussing our next visit. Excellent property: most gracious of hosts. Five stars from all of us!

The house was lovely with beautiful decor and all of the comforts you could ask for.
Everything was just as described. The setting was also beautiful with a pretty view of a creek. There were so many things added to make the stay even more like at home and inviting. We will definately be back. The host was very attentive and answered all questions promptly, as well as accommodated our needs for this special stay.
