Ashknowe is perfect for a short break for a couple wanting to stay in the heart of Scotland.. All on the Ground Floor:

Open plan living space.

Living area: 40" Freeview TV, DVD Player, French Doors

Dining area.

Kitchen area: Electric Oven, Electric Hob, Microwave, Fridge, Freezer, Dishwasher, Coffee Machine, Washing Machine

Bedroom: Four Poster Kingsize (5ft) Bed Ensuite: Bath, Cubicle Shower, Toilet. Sun deck with garden furniture. Hot tub (private). Sauna (Private).. These three authentic roundwood log cabins in a stunning location in the heart of Scotland boast elevated unspoiled views. The meadows of the surrounding farm are to encourage wildlife, and wonderful walks from the door can take in a viewpoint to the Ochil Hills and Lomond Hills of Fife. The perfect base to enjoy a wealth of activities and places of interest around central Scotland including Perth - home to fine city and leisure facilities, Scone Palace, 10 miles, Falkland Palace (NTS), 7 miles, and Edinburgh Castle, Stirling and beaches at St Andrews, approximately 25 miles. Golf, cycling, gliding, riding and fishing are all nearby. Glenfarg, a historic village offering a small paper shop is 0.75 mile and there are several local produce farm shops within a 15-minute drive. Nearest pub and restaurant is approximately 3½ miles.. All properties: Electricity (from wind turbine), bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi included. Decked area with patio and garden furniture. Garden (shared). Barbecue. Hot tub (private). Sauna. Parking. No smoking. Please note: No babies or children. This property has a natural water supply from a spring. There is approximately 50 yards between each log cabin.

Great property, 45 mins from St Andrews's where we spent the week at The Open. Returning back to the log cabin, with the woods, a sauna, hot tub and...silence! Great find which we do not want to share!

Pleasant experience

Satnav took me right to the property host was nice and friendly when we arrived. Place was nice and spacious with great amenities. Only negative I would say is for self catering there's no salt pepper oil etc

The local village had a small shop if we needed anything. In a good location to drive to various attractions/places to explore. The surrounding area was lovely and quiet. Spent 4 days away here to escape busy city life and it was absolutely perfect! Exactly what we needed to escape. The log cabin has everything you could ever need, it's just like moving into a second home for a couple of days! We cooked a lot and were happy to find so many dishes/equipment that let us cook from scratch. The couches and bed were so comfy and there was plenty to watch on the TV, even without using the thoughtful dvds left for us. The hot tub and sauna were incredible - we must have spent most of our time between the two! So easy to work and very nice inside. We didn't go away to do any walks or scenery but there is plenty round about for this! There is also a small village shop not far and a few others not too far a drive. Images out of date

The images used to advertise this property are about 10 to 15 years old and things have changes. Unfortunately the gardens have become overgrown and the views from the property are restricted making you feel shut in. Wonderful view are available as shown in the original images however the lack of attention has blocked them out. We were disappointed to be moved to another cabin on the day of our arrival as our original choice was much nicer and upto date having inspected it later.

A lovely cabin set in peaceful Perthshire, really enjoyed our time there. Plenty to do in the surrounding area with Castles,Properties & Whisky Distilleries to visit. Also enjoyed the Hot Tub after the day was done. The Bein Inn in Glenfarg & The Kirkland Hotel in KInross were two good places to eat. All in all a great week apart from a bit of dodgy Scottish weather !!

Lovely cottage and good facilities. Peaceful location with great views and both the hot tub and sauna are great touches! Utilities provided to enable a stress free trip without the need to bring half your home. Met with one owner who was very pleasant and helpful. Would definitely recommend to friends and family.
